  • Rapper Azealia Banks took to NYC over the weekend to perform at the Governor's Ball. Azealia wore next to nothing during the performance before a very hyped crowd.

Azealia is currently gearing up for the release of her new Pharell assisted single "ATM Jam" which will serve as the official second single from her debut album Broke with Expensive Taste.

I was a huge Azealia Banks before her immaturity got the best of her. There is no denying that she is a great performer so hopefully she can win me over.

What do you think of Azealia?

  • It looks like Ciara's new album will not be a 'One Woman Army' after rapper Nicki Minaj revealed that she has collabs on more than one track.

    Nicki Minaj tells MTV:

"I’ve been working with Ciara a lot. And actually, I’m in the studio to finish a couple things up for her today. She has this dope, dope, dope song. I can’t wait for the barbz to hear it. So we might end up doing the record I have with her as well [I'm Legit]. People are gonna love her new album, I love it! I was supposed to only do one song for her album and I think I’m gonna end up doing 2 because I just love what she’s doing and I’m so proud and I’m really excited for people to hear it.

I was excited for Ciara's new project but I have slowly lost interest after the constant setbacks and multiple single releases. This era was intended to be a rebirth for the singer but it seems as if label heads aren't realizing that her career in the music industry depends on it.

While I do prefer Ciara's ballads over her more uptempo tracks, she shouldn't be releasing slow songs moving into the Summer. Nicki has some great songs but I would have preferred if Ciara teamed with a fresh female in the industry such as Azealia Banks for a collab.

    Thoughts?

  • I'm just going to assume that rapper Azealia Banks used a majority of her label budget on those EP's that she dropped last year because her debut single is trash. Azealia dropped her lead single 'Yung Rapunxel' from her debut album Broke With Expensive Taste overnight. I was hoping for a bit more but the track sounds like some unfinished mess. To start, you can barely hear what the rapper is saying above the annoying beat.

Ugh. Poor Azealia. Anyone that keeps up with my blog would know that I am such a huge supporter of hers.

    Skip or rewind?

  • Azealia, I like you and everything homegirl but these despesrate attempts to gain attention are becoming very repetitive. Azealia decided to call out Roc Nation artist Rita Ora overnight about who brought back Jelly sandals. Is it that serious?

There is no denying that Azealia is an amazing artist however her mouth is going to cause her to not succeed in this industry. While she has not started every beef that she has been involved in, the fact that she entertains them repeatedly is not a good look.

Rita ignored the ignorance. Grow up.

  • Rapper Azealia Banks released yet another video over the weekend. The singer released visuals for her track 'Atlantis' which I must say that I am disappointed in. Compared to Azealia's other material, the video for the track comes off looking very cheap. I guess it is safe to assume that whoever provided the visuals for Rihanna's SNL performance last week did the visuals for Azealia's new video.

    Thoughts?

  • Azealia Banks is lowkey slaying the girls this year. The rapper has released the full video for her track 'Fierce' which also serves part of the holiday campaign for clothing company ASOS. I absolutely adore the quality and simplicity of the video.

Azealia Banks is definitely going to have a successful career if she keeps up with the consistency and quality of her work.

    Are you feeling the clip?

  • I am definitely a fan of rapper Azealia Banks. The rapper returns with the video for her new track 'Luxury' which I absolutely adore. Azealia's flow and style are definitely my fave amongst other female MC's in the industry.

Azealia understands the power of quality. All of the videos that she has released are creative and bold. I'm glad that her debut album was pushed back because the new visuals are sure to win over some new people.

    Check out the clip below.

  • Rapper Azealia Banks just made me love her track '1991' even more with the visuals that she just released. The video served me every bit of vogue greatness. I am so proud of her for going her own route and not feeling subjected to sound like the rest of the crap that the music industry is throwing out.

Is it me or does Azealia serve you every bit of rapper Eve? From the looks to the way her voice sounds, I cannot seem to not think of Eve in this visual.

    Catch the video below.

  • Awwright Azealia. The newcomer rapper is the latest one to grace the cover of Dazed & Confused magazine. According to the magazine, the cover has been banned in seven countries so far due to the sexual content. Azealia shows no shame in putting a condom shaped lollipop to her lip in the issue.

Aside from all the hype for Azealia via the blogs, I still don't see her debut album performing that well sales wise. A lot of the people that I have conversations with about her normally say that she needs an attitude change or that she is trying to jack Nicki.

    More pics below.

  • Rapper Azealia Banks has kept to her promised and delivered the video for her track 'Van Vogue'. Azealia always delivers with the visuals for her music and this one is no different. Azealia gives so much life in the dim light she adorns during the video.

'Van Vogue' was my favorite track from Banks '1991' EP. The song serves vintage house music with a more urban twist in lyrics.

    Watch the video below.

  • Rapper Azealia Banks kept things hood on the new track 'Succubi' which she released via Twitter. I actually like this Azealia versus the pop chick that she portrays in some of her other tracks.

In all honesty, will Azealia's album sale in the few weeks when it is released? It seems as if she has resorted to seeking fame via Twitter beefs rather than kicking her promo drive into full gear.

Azealia also released another teaser for her 'Van Vogue' track.

  • Blah. Blah. I know I am late with posting the latest gem from rapper Azealia Banks. The rapper released her latest mix tape this week called 'Fantasea' which has received from great reviews. One thing that I can say about Azealia's work is that it is great to workout listening to.

Will she see the success of her female counterparts?

  • YAS! Rapper Azaelia Banks is coming for a few lacefronts in her new video for her track 'Liquorice'. From the horse to the costumes, Azealia definitely brought it with the visuals for the track which appear on her '1991' EP.

Anyone else get an Eve vibe from her? Love it.

  • Azealia Banks offers us her latest joint entitled 'Van Vogue' lifted from her '1991' EP. I am really starting to love this young girl. I see that she is trying to expand herself not only in just hip hop but dance music also. The beat is more along the lines of techno dance but her lyrical content is straight hip-hop.

I like that she raps real hard over this vogue type beat. The main thing I'm appreciating about Azealia is that she is not trying to be like any other rap chick. Azealia's just doing Azealia and I absolutely appreciate that. Sadly, when a rap female comes out I sit and try to think who she's trying to copy. But for Azealia I can't think of anyone because she's different and that's a GREAT thing.

  • One of my newest favorite rappers has released teasers of her debut album '1991' which will come to light in a few weeks. The 'Jumanji' rapper gives of a taste of the four track EP which haves a very pop/dance vibe. I'm not understanding why Azealia's team decided to throw out this short EP when her mix tape 'Fantastic' will drop on July 4th.

If Azealia fixed her attitude a little more then I would definitely be her #1 fan.

Download '1991' digitally on May 29th.

  • Azealia Banks is one chick who is definitely on her grind. It has been said that she is the one who could very much take rapper Nicki Minaj's spot.

Azealia releases new music from her mixtape Fantastic the song is entitled 'Jumanji' which is produced by Hudson Mohawke and Nick Hook. Azealia raps over an infectious beat and steel drums. I am loving this beat and her flow is quite nice.

Like I said there are alot of new female rappers that are coming out and are on their grind. Everyone is not really paying attention to them because they are stuck in a Nicki Minaj world. I look forward to seeing what Azealia Banks, Rye Rye and Iggy Azalea do with their debut album.

Besides the mix tape Fantastic, Azealia also has an EP entitled "1991" and is working on her official debut for Interscope Records entitled 'Broke With Expensive Taste'. Azealia recently confirmed that she has already recorded the remix to M.I.A's 'Bad Girl'  along with Missy Elliot and Rye Rye. Can't wait for that!

  • Damn. The shade has been really thick on Twitter this morning after newcomer Azealia Banks decided she wanted to blast rapper Lil Kim this morning. You may recall a few weeks ago when Banks tweeted that she had just had 'the best convo' with Lil Kim, however it appears that things have taken a turn for the worst.

Apparently Lil Kim was to be featured on new track from Azealia's debut album and got upset when Azealia wrote Kim's rap for her. Long story short, Azealia called out Kim for not ever writing her own lyrics and for the nasty email Kim's assistant sent her.

Azealia decided to blast Kim on Twitter after Kim's reps released the following press release:

Earlier today a press release went out making a claim that there was friction between Hip Hop Icon “Lil Kim” and aspiring hip artist azealia banks. The release comes as a surprise to our team, being that my client and azealia have NEVER spoke to one another or met AT ALL. Kim was actually very flattered azealia’s public admiration for her, which is why it’s so hard to understand how someone who claims to be a true Lil Kim fan could flip the script so easily on someone who was supposedly their idol. It is also VERY interesting that NO ONE from her team made any attempts to reach out to anyone from our team to voice any concerns or problems that they may have had. I have NEVER heard of anyone having a conflict with someone they have NEVER met with or personally spoke with. We have no idea what they are referencing and have no desire to discuss the matter any further as there is nothing to talk about. It honestly seems that someone from azealia’s team would rather have her fans buy into manufactured drama instead of buying music. Kim knows nothing of any beef, and furthermore has had nothing but nice things to say about her. We don’t know what this is and will not address this any further. It seems that this is another sad attempt by someone trying to use my client for publicity. We wish her nothing but the best.

  • Okay. I think it's safe to say that I am #TeamAzealiaB. The rapper graced the stage at Coachella yesterday to perform a 24-minute set. I was a bit skeptical about what the rappers other material would sound like, however she did an outstanding job. The newcomer had great stage presence and crowd interaction.

Guh. Why she up there repeating 'n*gga' with all of those white people in the crowd tho?

  • This chick has definitely become one of my favorites. The '212' rapper is one of the latest females to grace Elle Magazine. In the issue, Elle touched on the haters that like to call her out about being discovered on YouTube, to which she replies 'So? You didn't get famous anywhere.'

Love her attitude. Do you think Azealia will be as big as Nicki?
