  • Singer Jill Scott graces the October issue of Essence Magazine rocking her new temp fade. The singer discussed her failed engagement and more in the new issue. I didn't realize that Jill didn't go thru with her engagement.

    The singer has been busy promoting her album The Light of the Sun for over a year with her most recent performance taking place last weekend in Philadelphia at the Made In America festival.

  • Singer Jill Scott was all the buzz last night on VH1 during her Storytellers performance. The singer used wardrobe and hair changes to give the crowd a very interesting show via her performance. Jill's acting skills definitely added a lot to the show.

    I am definitely purchasing my tickets to her Summer concert tour now. Peep the performance below.




  • I know that I am not the only one anxious for the epicness which will occur in singer Jill Scott's VH1 Storytellers performances. The singer takes us backstage to show us how her wardrobe and hair changes came about during the show.

    For those that know Jill Scott she usually isn't the multi-costume change type, however the 'Blessed' singer gave us all a surprise during her segment.

    Jill Scott's VH1 Storytellers will air on 5/21 at 11 PM!


  • Can the church say yasssssssssss? Singer Jill Scott literally just anointed me during her VH1 Storytellers performance for her current single 'Blessed'. Jill asked tells the crowd 'You better live that life like it's yours' as they stood and cheered in the audience. I don't know if I am feeling this wig that is channeling 'reduced for sale' tease.

    I am in absolute love with this track which has been eating up radio for the past few weeks. The full episode of VH1s Storytellers featuring Jill Scott premieres Monday, 5/21 at 10 PM!


  • Many of you may recall how thick the shade was last week on Twitter after Tamar/Towanda Braxton decided to come for singer Jill Scott after she tweeted telling everyone to watch gospel duo Mary Mary's reality television series (see here).

    Apparently Erica and Tina caught wind of the situation and had this to say via Singersoom (the shade is bolded):

    “People are always gonna express their opinions…I really have no response for someone getting upset at someone else’s opinion…I’m just happy that Jill likes the show and she thought it was good,” Erica commented. Tina, the other half of the duo, added, “And I’m happy that Tamar is following our tweets, watching our show… otherwise, she wouldn’t know all the comments that are happening in Jill’s timeline, so that’s a good thing.”

  • I knew that The Braxtons were a little salty that singers Mary Mary were getting so much attention via their WEtv reality series. The sisters took things to a new height last night by attacking singer Jill Scott after her tweeting everyone to tell them to watch Mary Mary's reality show.



    Are you guys really that pressed for attention that you would take offense to a comment that was more than likely directed towards the Basketball Wives and Housewives series? I knew they were pathetic but damn. Tamar needs to direct all of that negative energy to her edges that could use a little work. And why did Towanda feel the need to jump in like her 2 cents (literally) would count? If these women would spend more time worrying about why their husbands are cheating on them or suffering mild heart attacks then they wouldn't be so bitter. 

    Meanwhile back at the ranch singer Jill Scott is touring while her new single 'Blessed' continues to slay urban radio.





  • Awwright Miss Jill Scott! I am amazed with the quality of singer Jill Scott's new video for 'Blessed'. The video premiered today via VH1 ahead of her VH1 Storytellers performance on May 21st. I noticed that the video contained an abundance of product placement (from liquor to hair products).

    The song has become one of my favorites in the recent weeks due to the heavy airplay. Does Jill finally have a hit from her latest album?

    Jill is currently touring the states on her Summer Block Party tour.
