In the new issue, Michelle revealed that her fourth solo studio album is titled Journey To Freedom. The interview was conducted by fellow singer and actress Deborah Cox.

"There was a time last year where I didn't know if I could record and finish one song, and it really took me a while to be comfortable and allow other people to help me with my thoughts," she says.

I'm not quite sure that I will return as a viewer for the new season of VH1's Basketball Wives but a few of the cast members will. Shaunie O'Neal, Tami Roman, and Evelyn Lozada cover July issue of Upscale Magazine ahead of the the August premiere of season five of their show.

The ladies touch on rebranding themselves after receiving harsh criticism after last season.

"[It] it was so difficult to deal with when it was airing and when it was all over with. I remember saying , 'what the hell just happened? This isn't us; we're mothers, we're businesswomen. We have to be smarter. We have to represent ourselves a lot better," says Shaunie.

Singer Solange chatted recently with Brooklyn Magazine about new music and motherhood. In the issue, Solange reveals that she is currently in the studio working on her new album which will be released via her own label (a collaboration with Sony).

"I'm working on my next record. I started writing about three months ago. I've been so lucky to meet such wonderful and beautiful inspiring friends, and we all have these experiences that could have only happened here," says Solange.

Solange also spoke on the subject of being a single parent.


"You know my parents are here, my sister is here, my cousin is here, all my friends are here. We really wanted Julez to have the experience that we had growing up - being able to drop in on his aunt's house and being able to hang out with Grandma and have that experience of actually having a soccer game and actually having family show up," she says. "It's such a beautiful feeling, but also having that village  is a necessary reality so that I'm able to pursue my passion both outside of motherhood and outside of my career." [Source]

Actress/Singer Keke Palmer looks every bit of sexy on the new issue of Kontrol Magazine. Keke jetted to Atlanta for the shoot which featured fashions from the 'Kontrol the Runway' winner Rachel Mills.

I'm really rooting for Keke's musical career. The girl has talent but needs a producer who will showcase her maturity vocally. Hopefully, Keke's new collaboration with producer Bangladesh takes her to a new level.

Singer Frank Ocean is having a great week for sure. The singer is unexpectedly one of the artist leading the 2013 Grammy nominations. Frank's 'Channel Orange' album earned him five nominations including Album of the Year and Record of the Year.

Singer Alicia Keys shows no signs of slowing down post the release of her new album Girl On Fire. Alicia posed in a pretty red dress on this month's cover of Essence Magazine. Alicia released her new album last week selling over 160k units. Alicia first week sales are low compared to her previous album which pushed 417k during its first week. Is the failing music industry to blame or Alicia's relationship with Swizz?

It looks like American Idol alumni Leah Labelle is ready to attack the charts in the New Year. The singer graces the new issue of PYNK Magazine which is due out this month. The soultry singer has been on the rise with her musical career with assistance from producers Jermaine Dupri and Pharrell.

You may remember Leah from her single 'Sexify' which blazed the radio airwaves over the Summer. I suppose singer JoJo better get things situated with her label before Leah takes her spot.

I am really hoping that her career takes off. Personally, I would ditch Jermaine Dupri because he doesn't really give his artist the team and promotion that they need.

Actress Tichina Arnold is the latest celebrity to grace the cover of BEMagazine. Tichina has had an outstanding acting career and is now a happy newlywed. Tichina is also a big supporter in the fight for Lupus being that she has a sister that suffers from the disease. "Something as small as tying your own show can affect those with lupus. That really had an effect on me.", she says.

Can someone give her and Tisha Campbell Martin another sitcom? The two were pure gold on the Martin show during the 90s.

Diva takeover! It looks like the end of this year will be all about the women when it comes to album releases. Singer Keyshia Cole is amongst the many female artist that will be releasing albums in the next few weeks. Keyshia looks absolutely fab on the cover of the new issue for Rolling Out magazine. The singer will be releasing her new album Woman to Woman tomorrow.

It looks like singer Luke James is ready to jumpstart the campaign for his new album. Luke took to Instagram to reveal that his debut album is titled 'Whispers In the Dark.' Honestly, my anticipation for the project has died down quite a bit due to the lack of structure from his label with the project.
