What's in the new chicken wraps? Singer Mary J. Blige and actress Angela Bassett are headed to the small screen in LifeTime's new film 'Betty and Coretta'. The film will portray the wives of activist Martin Luther King Jr. and Malcolm X.

Mary J. Blige will also take on a big role as executive producer of the film which will began taping next month. Ch.

Is Mary really ready for a leading role this big? She has had small parts in other films but I still feel that they should have chosen a more seasoned actress since these are well known individuals that they are trying to portray.

What's on the new MJB Summer tour? Forget 'Crispy Chicken', singer D'Angelo has been tapped to tour with the Queen of R&B this Summer. Mary J. Blige announced during her set at the Essence Music Festival that she will co-headline twenty concert shows with the 'Untitled' singer in August.

Mary J. Blige obviously isn't stupid because she knows D'Angelo will definitely rake in the ticket sales. My only thing is that I hope he pays his taxes unlike some of these other artist.

Apparently singer Mary J. Blige wasn't amused with the Burger King 'Crispy Chicken' commercial. The R&B legend stopped by NYC's Hot 97 where she discussed the commercial and revealed some very interesting details. Apparently when Mary asked 'What's in the new chicken wraps' in the commercial she was literally asking the director of the commercial in what she thought was off camera.

Mary also said how hurt she was with the whole situation.

If anything I think that the commercial gave Mary a lot of exposure. It's old and she shouldn't discuss it anymore.

For those of you that did not know, this is the original song that Burger King sampled for their commercial which starred the 70 year old singer. I have been bumping this song for months and MJB released a nice video for it just in time for the Summer.

Girl. Is it Nene Leakes day on my website and I didn't get the memo? Singer Mary J. Blige was spotted hanging out with reality stars Nene Leakes and Jennifer Williams over the weekend in NYC. No shade to Nene and Jen, but why is Mary hanging with reality stars?

Singer Mary J. Blige took the stage last night on ABC's Dancing w/ The Stars to perform 'Anyway You Want It' from the new Rock Of Ages movie which will be out soon. Mary looked like the long lost sister of Diana Ross during her set which was quite nice.

I'm kind of upset that Mary's team waited so late to release her new single 'Why' featuring Rick Ross.

Blige really made this track and should consider doing a 'singing only' version of the track.

When I tell you guys that Chris Brown is on EVERY song being played on the urban stations. I am really expecting his album 'Fortune' to do very well.

I am in tears right now from laughing at the thought of R&B Queen Mary J. Blige appearing in a Burger King commercial. Wait. Why am I laughing when she probably got paid millions to perform in this foolery? Aside from the joke of whoever styled her, her vocals sound a mess.

Why Mary? You are a singing legend. Every check isn't a good check. I'm quite sure her husband/manager Kendu had a lot to do with this.

This is the point where I tell Mary J. Blige to rent out a stadium and have all the seats. The R&B singer was on hand at this year's NBA Allstar Game to sing the National Anthem and boy did she give us a sound of hell. I absolutely love Mary but the Star-Spangled Banner is one of those songs she should have avoided at all cost.
