  • BET definitely stepped their production up a notch during the 2013 BET Awards. Ciara, Robin Thicke, and Charlie Wilson are just a few of my favorite performances from last night. The event was held last night at the Nokia Theater in Los Angeles.

I would definitely give Charlie Wilson best vocal performance of the night. Despite being a senior citizen and cancer survivor, the legend really tore the house down with his performance. Robin Thicke's performance was quite nice but didn't compare to what he gave on the Graham Norton Show.

Check out the performances below. Who was you favorite?

    - Robin Thicke ft. Pharrell, T.I.

    - Kendrick Lamar ft. Erykah Badu

    - Janelle Monae ft. Erykah Badu

    - 2 Chainz ft. A$AP Rocky

    - Beenie Man and Elephant Man

    - Tamela Mann

    - J.Cole

    - Miguel

    - Mariah Carey ft. Miguel

    - R.Kelly

    - Charlie Wilson ft. India Arie, Jamie Foxx, Pharrell, Snoop Dogg, & Justin Timberlake

    - Chris Brown

  • Singer Janelle Monae revealed the official release date for her second studio album "The Electric Lady". The album, which features collaborations from Prince and Miguel, will hit store shelves on September 10th.

"The Electric Lady was inspired by paintings. Every night I would perform and I would paint on the canvas while I would sing. I would paint this image of a woman (of a female body) every single night. Every night I would only want to paint the same thing over and over again. All of my friends saw the paintings and they encouraged me to give her a name," says Janelle about the album title.

The album is preceded by her current single "Q.U.E.E.N." which features singer Erykah Badu.

I have a feeling that Janelle is going to bring Prince out during her BET Awards performance this weekend. That would be iconic.

  • Singer/Songwriter Janelle Monae looks every bit of fierce on the cover of this month's BillBoard Magazine. Monae, who is gearing up to release her new album The Electric Lady, has enlisted powerhouses Prince and Miguel for her new project.

"We are great friends, and he is a mentor to us, to me," she says about Prince. "It's a beautiful thing to have a friend -- someone who cares about your career and wants to see you go far and to push boundaries and to shake up the world -- give whatever they possibly can to the cause."

I'm really excited for Janelle's collaboration with singer Prince being that she channels him a lot in her live performances.

Janelle's current single 'Q.U.E.E.N.' which features Erykah Badu has sold over 30k copies.

  • Miguel shows no signs of slowing down with the promo for his latest album. Miguel took to NBC's Saturday Night Live to perform his tracks 'Adorn' and 'How Many Drinks' which both appear on Kaleidoscope Dreams.

Chills. Miguel gave me everything that I needed vocally from any live performance. Did I mention how incredible his band sounds?

There is no denying that Miguel is the modern day Prince. Kudos!

  • Miguel sat down with MTV News to discuss the call he received notifying him that he would be working with Beyonce on her new album.

'I think being a part of someone else's creative process is all about having your surfboard ready and just being ready to ride that wave. I don't really know what she sees for herself or what direction she'd like to go with this album and I think that's the exciting part about it. You just ride the wave and see where it goes.' says Miguel.

Are you anticipating Miguel's work with Bey?

  • It is pretty evident that singer Miguel has been practicing his live performances since his last album. The singer took to David Letterman's late night talk show to perform his single 'Adorn' from his new album Kaleidoscope Dreams.

The performance was definitely great. I suppose I should give Miguel's new album another listen since everyone is saying how great it is. The singer is prepping to hit the road with singers Trey Songz and Elle Varner next month.

    Were you feeling Miguel's performance?

  • I don't really care for the song but the video is nice. Singer Miguel released the video for his new single 'Do You' today which stars his actual girlfriend Nazanin Mandi. Miguel always delivers when it comes to visuals but his music sometimes sound a little too identical.

Miguel released his sophomore album Kaleidoscope Dream today.

    Check out the video below.

  • I haven't been feeling singer Miguel since he blocked me on Twitter for calling him 'sis' but his new album is cute. The singer gives us an advance listen at his latest offering ahead of its release date next week. The whole 'Kaleidoscope Dream' project was handled incorrectly and I doubt that it will pull good numbers first week.

Why would the label allow Miguel to release the album in segments? Ch.

    Listen to the album here.

  • I will give singer Miguel his props and admit that he sounded good doing his vocal performance of 'Adorn' on Power 106. The singer stopped by to chat with Big Boy about his new album and his collaboration with singer Alicia Keys.

Miguel teamed up with Alicia for a track titled 'Where's The Fun In Forever' which the two wrote in Jamaica. The song is produced by Pop & Oak who did a great majority of singer Elle Varner's new album. The track will be featured on Miguel's new album Kaleidoscope Dream.

    Check out the performance below.

  • Now it might just be me but I could have sworn Miguel already made a video for Adorn. Turns out that one was not the official video for the single. I guess Miguel has money to slang around like that making unofficial videos and shit. Singer Miguel recently premiered his official video for Adorn from his Kaleidoscope Dream: Water Preview released on Itunes yesterday.

Miguel has another installment of this preview coming September 11 which will be the Air Preview. Then on October 2 the official album of all installments will be released. The video was simple but nice, it looks as if it took place in an old hospital or something. Him being in the water was sexy though and I personally want to thank him for wearing the tight pants by the car. That sample was everything! Enjoy!

  • I guess singer Miguel caught the tea that he should be selling his music instead of releasing a million mix tapes. The singer plans to take a different route when it comes to the release of his sophomore album Kaleidoscope Dreams by releasing it in three parts.

Really? Is Miguel that big of an artist to have people wanting to buy his material three times within weeks of each other. If anything, dragging out the album will cause people to lose interest. Nonetheless, I actually like the songs from the first part of the album which will hit iTunes on July 31st.

Preview the tracks below. Will you be buying Kaleidoscope Dreams?

  • Just when I thought Miguel couldn't possibly get any better, he does! Miguel takes his latest hit 'Adorn' and extends it another minute. When I first heard Adorn I instantly fell in love with it and now he wants to hit falsettos and thangs. *pulls panties off*

I think this guy is INCREDIBLY TALENTED I just want him to be more humble by possibly thinking about things before he says them in interviews. Sometimes ,even though he means no harm, it could come off as another way. I really want him to win but first he has to HUMBLE HIMSELF!

Get into the extended mix of Miguel's Adorn below.

  • As much as I love singer Miguel musically, he sure knows how to make me hate him personally. Miguel joined Mina Saywhat at Power 99's Rise & Grind Show for a recent interview where he did what he does best... talk smack!  Miguel wants his competitors to be unique and stay in their own lane. Don't try to do him or sound like him cause he's not having it.

I’m just gonna say, don’t nobody out there step into my f*cking lane. That’s all I’m going to say. Just stay in your lane. I’m a competitive person and the thing is I’m solidifying my lane and don’t f*cking come over here cause I will f*ck you up in that situation. But that’s how we’re supposed to be. I’ve been saying I appreciate so many different kinds of music and what I don’t appreciate is…I want everyone to express themselves in a unique way. I think I’m saying that in an aggressive way because that’s how I really feel, but what I mean by that is; find your own thing to do and create your own lane. It’s not the easy way, but it creates longevity for you and I think that’s what I’m trying to encourage.Where I’m going, I’m really trying to take everybody with me, and I’m just saying, don’t come over here, I’ll f–k you up yo"

Alright Miguel, I understand being competitive but just shut up sometimes. You don't really need to say certain things however just let your music show for it. If another artist does decide to step into your lane and bite your style we the fans will recognize that and act accordingly. Capeesh?

  • Singer/Songwriter Miguel has returned with his third and final installment of the 'Art Dealer Chic' mix tape series. Miguel really serves me a refreshed version of pop icon Prince. I really hope we can expect a nice Summer single from Miguel soon.

Not too much to say about these mix tapes anymore but DOWNLOAD it here! Happy Saturday! :)

  • Singer Miguel returns with yet another video in support of his 'Art Dealer Chic'. This time Miguel serves us drunk tease in the video for '..All' which looks as if he shot it on his own.

Miguel's hustle is definitely paying off for him. His creativity is unlike the other artist in the industry. I would love to see Miguel write a few songs for other artist.

  • Singer Miguel's hustle is definitely on another level than most artist. However, I am tired of most of his videos looking identical to one another. The 'Adorn' singer has released the visuals for the track 'Arch & Point' which appeared on his new mix tape 'Art Dealer Chic Vol. 2' which he released this week.

Nontheless the video is cute. We witness a chick dancing overly sexually while bringing meaning to the song.

Download 'Art Dealer Chic Vol. 2' here.

  • YES! Miguel has finally released the second installment of his mix tape series.

    Download here.

  • Girl. Will Miguel stop teasing us and hurry with the release of the second installment of his 'Art Dealer Chic' series? The singer released another snippet ahead of its release later this evening. I can already tell from the snippet of the song in the background that I will fall in love all over again.

Are you anticipating Miguel's new release?

  • I don't recall hearing one negative thing about singer Miguel's previous mix tape 'Art Dealer Chic Vol 1'. Everyone absolutely loved the track 'Adorn' and the video which accompanied it. Miguel returns tomorrow with Vol. 2 of the installment for which he has released a teaser video.

The idea of releasing smaller EP's versus one with numerous track is quite a smart tactic being that people will keep interest in the project. I'm sure Miguel's sophomore album will do really well with the numbers.

  • I am definitely excited about the release of singer Miguel's new EP 'Art Dealer Chic Vol 1'. About a month ago, the singer released a video for the lead track from the 3-song EP which was titled 'Adorn'; a soothing and smooth track. Miguel's team should definitely send 'Adorn' to the radio market.

    Download Miguel's new EP here.
