It looks like Fantasia finally realized that she needed to garner a little attention in an effort to promote her new album. Fantasia released her highly anticipated single titled 'Without Me' which features singer Kelly Rowland & Missy Elliott. The track is definitely a certified urban banger and the reception via social networks have been pretty positive.
Fantasia's fourth studio album , Side Effects of You, is scheduled to hit stores on April 23rd.

Kelly Rowland has been making the rounds while in NYC this week. Kelly chatted with Radio.com about her new track with former bandmates Beyonce' and Michelle Williams. The track, titled 'You Changed', will appear on Kelly's new album which is due in stores this June.'I have actually collaborated with my sisters on this album,' says Kelly 'I'm so excited for people to hear this record. Our voices sound so good together on this record.'
Kelly also performed last night at Elle Magazine's Women in Music event. Check out the pics below. -
Singer Chrisette Michele treated fans yesterday by releasing the cover for her new album Better which is due in stores this June. Chrisette looks absolutely fab on the cover where she shows off her new slimmer figure.
The album is preceded by the single 'A Couple of Forevers' which I absolutely adore. Features on the new album will include Wale, 2 Chainz, Musiq Soulchild, and Lem Payne.
Better hits stores on June 11th. -
The Yes Ma'ams are everything that I wanted them to be this go around. The ladies treated fans today with their highly anticipated single '1-900' which serves as the first track as a revamped group. It is no secret that the group had a major image overall by dumping the old girls for three new hot chicks.
The song is produced by Druski who is known mostly from his most recent work with Dawn Richard.

Singer/Songwriter Jazmine Sullivan was one of the first artist to witness the effects of a failing music industry when her 2010 sophomore album Love Me Back tanked. So many artist like to claim that they are bringing R&B back however Jazmine actually succeeded at doing so.
Fast forward three years later and Jazmine's unreleased track 'Drive By' from her studio sessions from the album still knocks. Luckily the track won't go to waste because American Idol alumni Jessica Sanchez snatched the track for her new album which hits stores this month.*Jazmine's version**Jessica's version*Hopefully Jazmine's new album doesn't go unnoticed. When she had her moment of depression and insisted that she wasn't recording anymore it really broke my heart.Thoughts? -
I don't recall signing up for this. It looks like former Real Housewives of Atlanta queens Derek J and Miss Lawrence have made it to the big leagues after the network announced this week that the two, along with Bevy Smith, have landed a full season of their show Fashion Queens. The show, which is a rip-off of E!'s Fashion Police, showcases the trio giving their honest opinions on the fashion in the entertainment industry. The network tested the waters with the show by running it as a limited series last month but announced that a full season will start on April 14th. Honestly, everyone that watched the show on my Twitter timeline had nothing but negative things to say. The set is very nice but the commentators are biased with their opinions due largely in part to who they are friends with.Nonetheless, I will tune in because I live for Miss Lawrence's one liners.

Singer John Legend offered a teaser for the 'Who Do We Think We Are' official music video. The Bink produced track, which features rapper Rick Ross, serves as the official first single from Legend's new album Love In The Future which will hit stores this Summer.I actually like the song and it is by far one of my most favorite releases since his 'Ordinary People' release. Are you feeling the track?

This honestly made my day. The hit LGBT series FreeFall will make its return this month with the official first season. The series, which is written by award-winning writer/director Lamont Pierre, chronicles the lives of three roommates and their messy living situation.I absolutely love the quality of this show. Will you be tuning in?

Real Housewives of Atlanta star Kandi Burruss made her way to VH1 this week to promote her new series The Kandi Factory. I must say that I may actually watch the show this time around since the production value seems to be of good quality. The show will showcase Kandi on her quest to find the next big superstar. Kandi is serving triple threat on the show serving as executive producer, judge, and songwriter. Ca-ching!'I don't like to be a dream killer. I don't like to do that because some of the craziest things have blown up. I do think that there is an audience for everyone,' says Kandi. The Kandi Factory premieres tonight at 10 PM on Bravo. Will you be tuning in?

Singer/Songwriter Jarell Perry continues to pump out hit after hit. Jarell, who just released his new Simple Things EP, treated fans to an unreleased track titled 'Smoke & Mirrors' over the weekend. The song is definitely a winner lyrically and vocally.
I'm sure that it won't be long before Jarell's name is posted in the Top 10 via BillBoard. A lot of the popular blogs are all starting to support his music as an independent artist.

Frustrated. Why is Luke James still in the same place career-wise that he was over a year ago? The singer released his NYC inspired video for his current single 'I.O.U.' yesterday. Neither the video nor the song really move me which brings me to question whether Luke has really lost the drive for his career.Did I mention that Luke is managed by Frank Gatson? I love Frank but with a career that revolves around the likes of Beyonce and Kelly Rowland I really don't believe that he has the time to nurture and guide a new artist of Luke's caliber.Thoughts? -
Singer/Songwriter The Dream finally released the lead single from his new album 'IV Play' which is due in stores next month. Terius takes it back to his 90s R&B roots in the title track which I am absolutely in love with. So many artist have talked about bringing R&B back and I believe that The Dream is the first to actually do it successfully by releasing this track.
'When you're working through songs and songs, and you're working on a Beyonce album, and a Rihanna, and a Kelly, and you're doing all of these things to be able to find that, 'IV Play' is a really great record,' he says.
The all-star roster for The Dream's new album includes the likes of Kelly Rowland, Beyonce, Jay-Z and more.

Singer Beyonce sent the Bey Hive into a swarm moments ago when she released a video telling them to be front and center tomorrow morning. The clip boasts an instrumental beat and Beyonce rocks her signature metallic hand from the Sasha Fierce era.
Could this be the beginning of the new era? With a tour that starts in two weeks, I would hope that Beyonce is releasing new material.
Check back tomorrow at 9 AM for the official announcement. -
Damn. Whose album isn't Kelly Rowland going to be on this Summer? Singer/Songwriter The-Dream revealed that Kelly Rowland, Beyonce, Jay-Z, Fabulous and Big Sean will all appear on his new album 'IV Play' which will be released on May 28th.
It is no secret that The-Dream, whose real name is Terius Nash, was able to land such big acts being that he is the mastermind behind most of their hit records.
Check out his interview with 106 & Park below. What is he wearing? -
It looks like Real Housewives of Atlanta star Phaedra Parks has finally found a business venture that will actually make her some money this time around. The former attorney of Bobby Brown has landed her own courtroom themed television show which will air on the very network that has made her famous.
According to a new press release via Bravo, Phaedra will help settle disputes between the rich and famous. The show could have potential being that there isn't really a court themed show in the market to give it competition as such. I must say that a showed with a theme as such would be a risk taker for the network.
Bravo says:
When the rich and famous of Atlanta have a dispute, they know that only one lawyer will deliver some cold, hard justice: Phaedra Parks of The Real Housewife of Atlanta. Whether it’s friends battling over an $8,000 loan or accusations of stolen Chanel handbags or confusion over a prenuptial agreement and whether it entitles you to two or three live-in staff members, the rich certainly have an odd sense of what qualifies as a problem in today’s world, and Phaedra will be there to help them sort it all out.
In other news, Real Housewives of Atlanta has been renewed for a sixth season.
The show is titled Rich People Problems. Will you be tuning in?

The ladies of TVOne's highest rated television show are back for another season. Singers Faith Evans, Nicci Gilbert, Keke Wyatt, Syleena Johnson, and Monifah will all return to the small screen next month to give us a taste of their drama filled lives. The preview was cute but I feel that the LA cast will bring it when their series premieres later this year. Keke Wyatt tries to hard to stand out which really annoys me. In addition to the returning cast members, singers Latocha Scott (of Xscape) and Angie Stone have joined the lineup.Apparently the ladies will all be prepping for a joint tour on the new season. Judging by the previews and what I have been reading on the blogs, Nicci Gilbert will be at odds with her castmates since rejoining with Brownstone and prepping for their new projects. Will you be tuning in?

It looks like Ciara's new album will not be a 'One Woman Army' after rapper Nicki Minaj revealed that she has collabs on more than one track.
Nicki Minaj tells MTV:
"I’ve been working with Ciara a lot. And actually, I’m in the studio to finish a couple things up for her today. She has this dope, dope, dope song. I can’t wait for the barbz to hear it. So we might end up doing the record I have with her as well [I'm Legit]. People are gonna love her new album, I love it! I was supposed to only do one song for her album and I think I’m gonna end up doing 2 because I just love what she’s doing and I’m so proud and I’m really excited for people to hear it.”
I was excited for Ciara's new project but I have slowly lost interest after the constant setbacks and multiple single releases. This era was intended to be a rebirth for the singer but it seems as if label heads aren't realizing that her career in the music industry depends on it.
While I do prefer Ciara's ballads over her more uptempo tracks, she shouldn't be releasing slow songs moving into the Summer. Nicki has some great songs but I would have preferred if Ciara teamed with a fresh female in the industry such as Azealia Banks for a collab.
Thoughts? -
Excited. Aside from the wack-ass shows that VH1 one has been throwing out lately, they have managed to please me with the preview for the new season of Love & Hip-Hop ATL. Stevie J, Joseline, and the gang are all slated to appear on the new season of the show which premieres later this month. It looks like Rasheeda decided to step her thug up this season most notably with a fight with K.Michelle which is featured in the clip. I honestly thought that Mona Scott Young would have kicked her to the curb after her storyline fell a bit flat last season.I assume we will also get to see the unraveling of Mimi and K.Michelle's friendship which ended in violence during a showcase in NYC a few weeks ago.
Noticeably absent from the preview is castmate Karlie Redd whom I hope was replaced by Buckeyy (Shay). -
Welp! It appears that 90s girl group En Vogue are legally calling it quits. TMZ reports that group members Terry Ellis and Cindy Herron have won exclusive rights to use the name En Vogue while touring and such. The two sued other members Dawn Robinson and Maxine Jones for the name after discovering that they were illegally touring with the name after the band broke up.
These ladies had the perfect opportunity to make a comeback after their appearance with Alicia Keys at the BET Awards but let drama mess up their coin. This is another perfect example of how friendship doesn't pay bills. We all know that the ladies can't stand each other but if they would have all shut up and dealt with it they wouldn't be standing in line for public assistance.
On another note, Dawn Robinson will be on the series premiere of TVOne's R&B Divas LA which is slated to debut later this year.
The ladies also sued for $1 million in damages but were denied. -
Let me be the first to say that I am not a fan of VH1's newest series The Gossip Game. The show chronicles the lives of some of New York City's top bloggers and entertainment personalities. In all honesty, the show doesn't accurately depict the life of the bloggers that I know.I don't understand what the bloggers on the show will blog about now being that they are now in the same position that the celebrities that they talk about are in. Ch.On another note, I am tired of the repetitive female drama on VH1 in general.

Chris Brown let a few goodies out the bag during his promotional stop at Fuse TV yesterday. Chris revealed that Kendrick Lamar, Wiz Khalifa, Kelly Rowland, and beau Rihanna are all slated to make appearances on his new album X. Chris kicked off the promotion for the new album yesterday with the release of his new single & video Fine China.
I can really see Chris's maturity level growth just from this interview. It appears as if he may have hired himself a good PR coach or really decided to turn his life around.
I'm curious on whether the track that features Kelly Rowland is the track 'Geronimo' which was slated to appear on both of their last albums?
Are you feeling the change?
-
Alright! It looks like singer Chris Brown is ready to take his career a little more seriously. Chris premiered his new single with its accompanying video this morning via Vevo. It's no secret that Brown's idol is Michael Jackson which is very evident in the choreography in the video.
I am so proud of Chris. For once, he sounds very mature vocally and the video concept is pure perfection. I really hope that he is done with the media BS and continues to focus more on his career.
Chris Brown will release his sixth studio album 'X' this Summer.

The ladies of Bravo's most watched show went out with a bang on the season finale of the fifth season of the show. However, it appears that the ladies may have saved the best for the reunion special which will air next week.
From Apollo texting Kenya to Porsha proving to the ladies that she can sing, those are just a few of the reasons that I will be tuned in.
Preview below. Will you be watching?

I'm not going to sit here and pretend that I was really checking for female group The Yes Ma'ams prior to their member readjustment. The ladies have always possessed the image for what it would take to be big pop stars, however their music never really clicked with me.
The ladies return with new faces and a new sound. Minx, Scandal, and Syxx released a snippet for what they promise will be a Summer hit over the weekend. '1-900' boasts an impressive vintage R&B sound and the vocals aren't too bad either.
What are your thoughts? Check out a promo interview from the ladies below.

Lord hammercy Jesus, what's going on? It looks like BET caught wind of how successful WETV's Mary Mary gospel reality show became that they decided to conjure up their own. The network has tapped gospel legend Karen Clark Sheard along with her family for a new reality show which is set to premiere next month.
While I must say that it doesn't look as juicy as Mary Mary's reality show, I will be tuning in since I am a fan of Kierra.
I wonder if the church will be as harsh on this reality show like they were on Mary Mary's and TLC's The Sisterhood. We know that church people can be hypocrite's so I'm sure they will let Karen slide since she is a legend.
Will you be tuning in on April 7th?

This is definitely music to my ears. Actress Keke Palmer is ready to officially strike it big in the music industry. Keke has signed a joint venture deal and music production deal with producer Bangladesh. The deal comes six months after the release of Keke's self titled mixtape which received a great reception.
I absolutely love Keke's music but felt that her image as a 'child star' hurt her chances of anyone taking her seriously. I am hoping that Bangladesh helps Keke tap into her more sensual and adult image to help further her music career.
'I am a huge fan of Bang's production because of his innovative sounds, I am very excited for people to hear our vision together,' says Keke.
Keke financed her previous mixtape and music videos on her own.
Check out one of my favorite tracks from Keke titled 'Dip 2 Nite' below. [Source] -
Singer Kelly Rowland shows no signs of slowing down ahead of the release of her fourth solo album Talk A Good Game. Kelly's label teased a new image this past week showcasing the singer in a very sexy pose.
In the meantime, Kelly's new single 'Kisses Down Low' jumped 8 spots on the BillBoard Hot 100 to number 72.
Kelly has been hard at work with her new album with productions from Mike Will and Pharell just to name a few.
Are you anticipating Kelly's new music? There is no official release date for the album.

What are we going to watch now as we lay in bed prepping for our midday nap? CBS distribution has decided to end the long running courtroom show known as Judge Joe Brown after 15 successful years of syndicated litigation via television.
'Judge Joe Brown will not be returning for another season. We would like to thank for 15 years, as well as executive producer John Terenzio and the entire staff for their hardwork and dedication to the show,' says a CBS Distribution spokesperson.
Are you sad to see Judge Joe Brown go?Are there any African American judges left on television? First Judge Mablean, then Judge Mathis, now JOE! -
I know that you guys are tired of my on and off blogging but I am back for sure this time. It looks like Nene Leakes may have gained a heart in addition to all the new coins that she is making from her various ventures.
'[Kim's] invited to my wedding, and I believe she'll come,' tells Nene to InTouch Weekly.
Are you guys surprised? I'm not. Not only is Kim invited to Nene's wedding but the two reportedly made up during the reunion taping of the show according to the magazine. You may recall that Nene posted a tweet following the taping of the reunion stating that we wouldn't believe what happened between the two during the taping.
This really warms my heart. The women shared so many good times with each other on camera that I honestly did hate to see their friendship end. I believe that neither of them knew how to balance real life with television life which definitely played a part in their friendship woes.
"I have always been and I continue to be happy for NeNe, and I look forward to being invited to the wedding,” Kim tells In Touch. “NeNe and I started this journey together and although we have had our ups and downs, I am excited to get our friendship back on track.”
However, let us not forget the epic argument below. -
Singer Justin Timberlake treated his fans to a little surprise today by offering a full stream of his new album 'The 20/20 Experience' via iTunes. The 10-track album which boasts productions from producer Timbaland and J-Roc will be released next Tuesday.
In all honesty, I didn't realize that the album was anywhere near being released. Are you excited for JT's return?
Listen here.

Ch. Real Housewives of Atlanta star Kenya Moore isn't ready to give her hit line any downtime yet. The former Miss USA has filmed a video for her single 'Gone With the Wind Fabulous' which stemmed from an argument with castmate Porsha Stewart in Anguilla.
Kenya took shots at both Porsha Stewart and Phaedra Parks in the video which was released over the weekend. Kenya made sure to include her gays in the clip by inviting drag star Shangela and internet personality B.Scott for cameos.
Hot or not?

The shade will be extra thick on next week's episode of Bravo's Real Housewives of Atlanta when business mogul Kandi reveals her new house. Kandi decides to invite castmate Kenya Moore's ex-boyfriend Walter to the event without telling Kenya prior. I will agree that that was a tad bit messy however the way that Kenya reacted was outrageous.
'You said Walter's here? It's not funny. He's showing up to every event that I am at and I don't have my f'n security with me. It's not going to happen like this,' says Kenya.
Ha. Really? You need security just because your ex is around? Kenya is definitely delusional. -
I'm just going to assume that rapper Azealia Banks used a majority of her label budget on those EP's that she dropped last year because her debut single is trash. Azealia dropped her lead single 'Yung Rapunxel' from her debut album Broke With Expensive Taste overnight. I was hoping for a bit more but the track sounds like some unfinished mess. To start, you can barely hear what the rapper is saying above the annoying beat.
Ugh. Poor Azealia. Anyone that keeps up with my blog would know that I am such a huge supporter of hers.
Skip or rewind?

It looks like former Real Housewives of Atlanta star Sheree Whitfield is ready to jump back in front of the camera. Sheree stopped by HLN's Raising America to discuss how she raised her kids with such a public life in addition to the three restraining orders that she recently filed against three Atlanta area bloggers for trespassing on her property.
'They (her kids) didn't sign up for that, I signed up for that. What I didn't sign up for is people coming onto my property. Sometimes the bloggers (and press) overstep their boundaries,' says Sheree. In all honesty, I probably would have filed restraining orders too if I were Sheree. She has been constantly humiliated by these bloggers and there comes a part where you have to take action by letting people know that enough is enough. But hey, who would pass up a good scoop for some hits? I'm on the fence about the situation.Thoughts? -
Azealia, I like you and everything homegirl but these despesrate attempts to gain attention are becoming very repetitive. Azealia decided to call out Roc Nation artist Rita Ora overnight about who brought back Jelly sandals. Is it that serious? There is no denying that Azealia is an amazing artist however her mouth is going to cause her to not succeed in this industry. While she has not started every beef that she has been involved in, the fact that she entertains them repeatedly is not a good look.Rita ignored the ignorance. Grow up.

Sang Chrisette! Songstress Chrisette Michele returns with the visuals for her Motown Records single 'Couple of Forevers' which was released a few months ago. Chrisette looks absolutely stunning in the Derek Blanks directed clip.Chrisette's new album Better hits stores next month on April 30th. Will you be purchasing? -
How attractive can one show get? BET really stepped their game up this season by selecting singer Kelly Rowland and actor Boris Kodjoe to host the 2013 Rip The Runway showcase. The two tapped the show last week in New York with designs from many hot emerging artist.Kelly is definitely at a very good point in her career. With Rip The Runway being just one of the many gigs that she has landed recently, her new album Talk A Good Game is definitely going to be the most successful of her career. Will you be tuning in? -
Not only is he sexy but singer Damien Crawford knows how to pull a tune. Damien returns with his new single 'Turnt Up' from his new album Champion. The track serves me Broadway meets mainstream pop with an urban twist. I like.
I became a fan of Damien's after discovering his track 'Love Over Life' which I absolutely love. -
Singer/Songwriter Jarell Perry has quickly become one of my faves and his new track 'Getaway' definitely added to my excitement. Jarell's songwriting and vocal abilities definitely allow him to have what it takes to become a mainstream pop artist.
It is rare that you land on upcoming artist that actually take the time to focus on the perfection and packaging of their work as such. The quality of Jarell's material really amazes me and I would hope that he is discovered very soon.
Are you feeling this tune?

Pull through Solange. Solo hit the stage at David Letterman last week to perform 'Don't Let Me Down' in support of her latest EP True. Ugh - I love Solange so much is this track just happens to be my favorite from the album.
Solange sounded amazing but I am not feeling this afro. Can we go back to the big curly fro from the Hadley Street Dreams era please?
Let me say, I attended Solange's concert last week in Atlanta and I am still high and tired from the amount of fun that I had. Solange always puts on a good show and the creativity that she brings out of others fashions amazes me.What's your favorite track from the True EP? -
With so much negativity surrounding her within the last year, American Idol alumni Fantasia pushes forward with the visuals for her latest single 'Lose To Win' from her new album Side Effects of You. The video is very vintage and cute however I am not feeling this bowl cut that Tasia has been rocking lately.Question. Has Fantasia's relationship with Antoine ruined your chances of buying her new album?Side Effects of You hits stores on April 23rd featuring collaborations from Kelly Rowland and Missy Elliott. -
Does singer Ciara finally have the certified banger that she needed to revive her career? The EPIC records songstress returns with her latest single 'Body Party' which is produced by hitmaker Mike Will. I knew the song would be hot when I heard that Mike Will had something to do with it.
Ciara won many people over with the track by sampling Ghosttown DJ's 90s hit 'My Boo' during a portion of the track.
The question still remains on whether the latest single can save what's left of the singers new album 'One Woman Army' which is scheduled to hit stores sometime this Spring/Summer? I would say that this is a step in the right direction in addition to her very public relationship with Future.
Are you feeling this tune?
