Photos have surfaced from the set of the Braxton Family Values Reunion show which will air on WEtv March, 29th. The entire family looked quite nice especially Tracy who has obviously shed a few pounds. I find it odd that they are having a 'reunion special' as if they aren't family and will see each other regularly. Talkshow queen Wendy Williams will be hosting the gig.
Will we see an end to the WEtv reality series since Tamar and husband Vince are getting their own spinoff?

It's that time of week again where I list what three songs that have been killing my iTunes catalog for the past few days. Read below to see what I have been jamming'!'Keep It Like It Is' - Stacy Barthe: Addictive. The Caribbean beat only adds to the lyrics which sucked me in because I have been at a point where I was satisfied with the current and not wanting to take things further. Try playing this song in your car while driving.'Think Like A Man' - Jennifer Hudson ft. Ne-Yo, Rick Ross: I have fallen victim to a good hook. Singer Jennifer Hudson definitely did her thing in the lead single from the soundtrack of Steve Harvey's new movie.'I Want You' - Luke James : I want you too. Damn, this boy can SING. I saw him a few weeks ago in concert with Estelle and he was amazing. The way he screams 'yoooooooooooooooouuuu' sucks me right in all the time.

Dear Estelle, maybe it's time for a label change or a reassessment. After pushing back her album for over a year, singer Estelle saw the release of 'All Of Me' last week to mixed reviews. It is no stranger that I have been quite upset with the way her label have not promoted the album other than some basic ad on BET. Honestly, the album is not her greatest but I'm sure the 'American Boy' singer expected to sell no more than 6,000 copies her first week.
As of yesterday afternoon, Estelle's sales total was under 3,000 with 40% of the retailers reporting. I can't quite feel bad for her since she didn't do much promo herself other than a few tweets.
*UPDATE* - She sold 13,500

It all belongs to them. Singers Brandy and Monica looked gorgeous in the new video for their current single 'It All Belongs To Me' which premiered on VH1 moments ago. The duo both rocked their long remy in addition to some impressive outfits.
We all knew it was coming with the 'In Loving Memory of Whitney Houston' at the end. Check out the video below. -
No one can grab an interview like Oprah Winfrey can. The talkshow queen will air her interview with the late Whitney Houston's daughter, brother, and sister-in-law this Sunday. In what will set record ratings for her OWN network, Winfrey will discuss the passing of the late singer who died a few weeks ago.
I find it rude that Oprah would by into the drama of Bobby Brown and mention him in the interview.
Nonetheless, is it too early for Oprah to be interviewing her family? -
What better way to bring in a new season than with a fresh recipe and nice Spring colored dishes? I had the pleasure of recording this segment last month prior to the Grammy Awards with my friend Ashley (@AshleyUdoh).
We had the opportunity to cook a nice chicken dish in addition to chatting the latest gossip. Check out Ashley's blog at ashleyudoh.blogspot.com! -
Singer J.Valentine has tapped former Destiny's Child singer Letoya Luckett once more for a track that is featured on his latest mix tape. In what is definitely a 'grown and sexy' track, we hear both singers showcase their R&B vocals in 'I Do'.
Letoya is currently in the studio recording her follow-up album to 'Lady Love'. -
I'm actually surprised that I haven't heard singers Monica and Brandy's new single 'It All Belongs To Me' on the radio as much as I expected. The duo will release the video for the Rico Love produced track tonight via VH1 at 11 PM. In a new interview, the two reveal how the recording came about after many years.
'It was hard to find songs that we both liked since we were working on our own projects', says Monica.
Are you excited for the premiere? -
Singers turned reality TV stars The Braxtons' appeared this week on the Dr.Phil Show. The sister's sought help from the celebrity Dr. after it was obvious that they had issues in the family that needed to be taken of. Why is it that Toni only shows up to high profile appearances as such and not promote at other events like the rest of the sisters?
Watch the sisters battle on stage below. -
I can tell you what I am not here for! Why do Oprah and Gayle look like slaves doing all the work for Paula in the field? Oprah premieres her 'Next Chapter' series tonight on OWN with the lovely Paula Deen. In the preview for the show, we find Oprah and best friend Gayle on the prowl for some fish in Paula's back yard. I will definitely be tuning into Oprah's new series tonight.
On another note, it looks like Oprah may actually be onto some good programming on her OWN network. Be sure to catch her interview with Bobbi Kristina and family in a few weeks. -
I'm definitely not buying into Kris Jenner's BS. The reality star stopped by Bravo's Watch What Happens Live this past week to chat with host Andy Cohen. During the interview, Kris was asked how she felt about the backlash that Kim Kardashian's ex-husband Kris Humphries had received since the divorce in which she replied 'I feel sorry for both of them'.
In all honesty, Jenner is basking in the glory from the millions that they made from the publicity stint. If she is going to feel sorry for anyone, she should feel sorry for Kim who keeps jumping from man to man.
Nonetheless, peep the clip below. -

Singer Janelle Monae is just one of the many celebs that are throwing their support behind President Barack Obama for his re-election campaign. The 'Tightrope' singer graced the stage in Chicago to perform at a fundraiser for the campaign. Janelle is always so soft spoken and graceful.
Check out what Janelle had to say out the President below. -
For weeks we have been talking about the new reality show for gospel duo Mary Mary; now we have the visuals. When I first heard that the Grammy Award winning artist would be serving up reality on WEtv, I began to think how boring it would actually be. I digress. The snippet for the series looks quite interesting and contains just enough drama to keep them on the air.
Erica and Tina take us inside their lives to show us exactly what it's like to be platinum selling artist but also maintain a life outside of showbiz. On another note, I am in love with their new single 'Go Get It'.
Peep the snippet for the Mary Mary series which premieres March 29th, on WEtv. -
Continuing on her 'comeback', singer Brandy graced the stage last night at Factory Nightclub in West Hollywood. The singer performed some of her hits which included a 'Departed' tribute to the late singer Whitney Houston. Brandy has been looking really nice as of late.
In other news, the singer has announced that the title of her new album is 'Two Eleven' which is the singers birthday. Talking with Rolling Stone, Brandy also revealed that the album will be out this June.
Will you be purchasing 'Two Eleven'? -
Talkshow host Oprah Winfrey may have just secured the boost she needs to keep her new OWN network alive. The diva, known for her infamous interviews, has reportedly interviewed the late Whitney Houston's daughter Bobbi Kristina. In the interview, which will air on the OWN network, Bobbi recounts her mother's most memorable moments and more. Oprah also interviewed Whitney's brother and former manager.
Will the ratings that Oprah will garner from the interview boost her OWN network? Is it too early for Bobbi Kristina to give interviews?
Tune into the interview on March 11th, at 9 PM.

Singers Brandy and Monica looked radiant on the set of their new video for 'It All Belongs To Me'. In the video that premieres on Monday via VH1, the ladies play out exactly what the song says. I must say that both ladies have definitely stepped their fashion and weave games up. I wasn't feeling Monica's long hair at first but it has definitely grown on me.
Will you be tuning in at Monday?

Someone call the mechanic because Mike Epps obviously just blew a gasket. The comedian wentNicki Minajpsychotic on his 18-year old daughter via the phone after she cursed him out for not wanting to hand her the money for her tuition but rather pay it directly to the school. Of course she didn't record her nonsense, however she did record her dad calling her all kinds of 'b*tches'.
I guess she can kiss her coins goodbye because she leaked the audio to TMZ. The entire situation is very sad. His daughter has apparently filed a police report in conjunction with the threats to 'f*ck her up'. -
Every Friday I will post the song that I will have on repeat for the weekend to describe my mood. This weekend I will be jamming singer Elle Varner's new song 'Refill' which will appear on her debut album 'Perfectly Imperfect' which will be out soon.
I remember sitting in the car talking with a friend and the song came on satellite radio. I went into an instant frenzy trying to figure out who was singing the song which carried an impressive hook and vocals. Artist who can sing a song and make me believe whatever they are feeling will always win me over.
Peep the track below. Can I get a REFILLLL? -
Funeral home director Carloyn Whigham is very upset over accusations that she leaked photos of a deceased Whitney Houston in her casket to the National Inquirer. Carol held a press conference earlier today to state that she did not leak the photo, however she know who did. Whigham appeared very upset at the family of the late Whitney Houston who have yet to announce that her funeral home was not responsible for the leakage of the photo.
Watch the drama unfold below. On another note, is she gay? She referred to one of the women as her 'partner' and she does look like a dude herself. -
It is rare that I run across a singer via YouTube that I honestly feel may have what it takes to become a mainstream artist. For the past 2 months, singer Kirby Lauryen has been posting 'A Song A Day' on her account; one that she has written and performs on her piano. Outside of being an AMAZING singer, Kirby is also an amazing songwriter.
If there was one artist that I could compare Kirby with it would have to be Adele. Her voice is so powerful and the way she sings makes me believe in whatever it is she may be singing about.
Check out Kirby Lauryen's 'The Introduction' EP below. Also check out my favorite 'Song for the Day' titled 'That Should Be Me'. Interview coming SOON! (My favorite is 'PURE'.)Kirby's Bio:There's something special about Kirby Lauryen. Born in Memphis, Tn and bred upon Missisippi soil, Kirby quickly found her niche in the sounds of Otis Redding, Gladys Knight, and Isaac Hayes. Like many Soul singers the stage often known, as the choir stand was her first encounter with glory. Yes, she’s been singing since the age of 0 and yes she hopes to one day be your vocalist of choice. But neither of these things differentiates her from the typical “soul singer,” So what’s so special about Kirby?Like religion, genres, language, & law words separate the genius from the average, the Christian from the Muslim, and law from opinion; and in this case the singer from singer- songwriter. Kirby Lauryen is an artist, but most importantly, a storyteller. The Berklee College of Music self- declared graduate, traded her college dreams for broomsticks & minimum wage jobs and moved to Atlanta for a year to pursue bright lights, and a record deal; only to find light bills, and not-so friendly notes from college- buddy Sallie Mae. “It was a struggle, I came back home with no record deal, a few connections and a lot of lessons. I realized I knew everything about dreams and nothing about life."A pity party and wake up call later, doors began to open up for Miss Lauryen. She won Budweiser’s’ Battle for the Crown contest and opened up for Anthony Hamilton KEM and more. Soon after she was crowned Memphis’ Next Great Soul Singer by legendary radio station WDIA Memphis. She even gathered praise from Academy award winner Jennifer Hudson on her first YouTube cover video, "Where You At."Currently embarking upon “A Song A Day” journey, where she writes a new song daily and posts via YouTube, Kirby Lauryen has branded her own unique sound. “It’s Soul meets country,” she says. “It’s Soultry. My goal is to make Soul Music cool again, 13 year olds & 17 year olds singing stories instead of fragments. I want to be heard at the baby shower, at your grandparents 50th anniversary, and on the radio! You can’t put a time or color on a good storyline, and that’s what I plan to deliver.” -
Lord. Record companies are suffering so much financially now that they are threatening to sue people for songs that they sampled on a 'free' mix tape. The Eagles' head label Warner Music Group are threatening to sue Frank Ocean for his use of 'Hotel California' on his Nostalgia mix tape. Ma'am, that mix tape came out over a year ago; why do you all care now?
Larry Solters, a representative for the Eagles, tells SPIN magazine:
“Frank Ocean did not merely ‘sample’ a portion of the Eagles’ Hotel California; he took the whole master track, plus the song’s existing melody, and replaced the lyrics with his own. This is not creative, let alone ‘intimidating.’ It’s illegal. For the record, Don Henley has not threatened or instituted any legal action against Frank Ocean, although the Eagles are now considering whether they should. Any further questions regarding this matter should be directed to Warner Music Group as it is the entity that currently owns the master recording and made the contact with Frank Ocean’s representatives concerning his infringement of the master recording.”
If the Eagles' were to sue and win, they couldn't ask for any royalties because there are NONE. The real question is will they seek for him to repay them for the times he performed the song on tour? -
Look at singer Tamia trying to sneak her way back into the music industry. Just two weeks after pictures from the set of her new video surfaced, we now have Tamia's official new single. 'Beautiful Surprise' is a cute mid tempo track. I'm not understanding why all of the older artist are insisting on using old school beats that do nothing for anyone?
Will you buy Tamia's new album? -
Continuing with her reality web series to highlight the road to her next album, singer Letoya Luckett has released the second episode of her show 'Life, Love, and Music'. I think that more artist should document their journey on film and I applaud Letoya on how well produced her videos are.
Letoya also looked gorgeous as she graced this month's edition of EDGE Magazine. Check out her spread below.
Watch the fun below. -
Singer/Actress Tiffany Evans looks beautiful as she graces this months edition of EDGE Magazine. In the interview Tiffany discusses growing up in the industry, becoming a woman, and more. I have been rooting for Tiffany since she starred in Tyler Perry's film, however I feel as though she makes promises to her 'fans' that she doesn't keep. Nonetheless, I will keep my fingers crossed for her new album or at least a mix tape of some sort. There is no denying that this young woman can snatch a few industry wigs with her vocals.
Peep the interview here.

I knew it would only be a matter of time before the claws came out. In the preview for next week's episode of the hit VH1 reality show 'BasketballThugsWives', we see newbies Keisha and Kenya going at it. I found the entire argument to be pointless. It is pretty obvious that Keisha is trying to portray this violent girl just to fit in with the rest of the crew.
On another note, when did Tami get her own place and stopped living out of hotels? I'm not mad. #GetMoney
Peep the drama below. -
Why is Melanie Fiona leaking all the tracks for her new album 'The MF Life'? Another song has surfaced from singer in the form of 'This Time' which features rapper J Cole. The hook and beat for the track really bring me to like it. The singer talks about giving her all 'this time' around if her lover gives her another chance.
I honestly think that Melanie's sophomore album will be great, however will she pull in the right sales? Hmmm. -
Sir. Who is Usher trying to fool? The singer spent the entire afternoon yesterday on V-103's the Ryan Cameron Show to promote his new single and talk to his supporters. This is by far the most candid that I have ever seen Usher. The singer felt the need to clear the air on his new single 'Climax' which hit the airwaves last week. Usher insists that the song isn't about sex, however it is about the experience of a relationship. I'm not buying it and I believe he only said that because he wants BET to play the video for the song when it surfaces.
On another note, Usher also mentioned in another portion of the interview that he had people in his camp that felt the need to protect him which explains why he came off as 'sheltered'. He has since pulled a page from Beyonce's book and says he is in full control of everything and that we all will see a different side of him. -
It really appears that everyone in Black Hollywood will play some part of Steve Harvey's 'Think Like A Man' film. Singer Jennifer Hudson teamed up with Ne-Yo and rapper Rick Ross for the official lead track from the film also titled 'Think Like A Man'. Jennifer Hudson really showed up and showed out with both vocals and dance moves.
Here's to hoping that Jennifer Hudson's label pushes this as a lead single for her next album. -
