Kelly is currently in Australia filming dance competition 'Everybody Dance Now'.

Actor/Comedian Rickey Smiley has teamed up with the TVOne network to produce his new self titled scripted series. The sitcom is loosely based on Smiley's own life which is a single father trying to raise three kids while also maintaining his career.

Singer Ray J. and comedian J. Anthony Brown are amongst the many faces that we will see on the cast of the show.

Is it me or has TVOne been on the come up lately? BET better hold on tight to their wig.

VH1's Love & Hip-Hop was the talk on Twitter last night after castmates Rasheeda and K.Michelle had a verbal altercation. For those that may not know, Rasheeda is very close friends with Toya Wright who is married to Memphitz. K.Michelle is the ex of Memphitz and has been constantly blabbing all season about how he 'whooped her ass'.

Rasheeda apparently had enough of the talk and decided to call K.Michelle out about the situation over lunch. I don't blame Rasheeda because anyone would get tired of someone constantly repeating themselves about anything. Rasheeda was unbothered by K's rant.

I'm not saying that Memphitz didn't beat her ass, however I am tired of hearing about it.

After the failed success of her single 'Sweat' which featured rapper 2 Chainz, singer Ciara is pressing forward with the second release from her 'One Woman Army' album. Ciara took to Twitter to post a letter that is supposedly the lead in to her next single 'Sorry'. Judging from the letter, the track will definitely be a break up song.



I am honestly hoping that Ciara releases something to the tune of 'Speechless' or 'Promise'. I really enjoy her slow jams.

The new single is expected to drop on August 20th.

Wow. Things must be really serious which would explain why VH1 has decided to cancel the airing of Evelyn Lozada and Chad Ochocinco's reality show. VH1 released a statement moments ago announcing that the show is cancelled with no plans of airing it in the future.

VH1:
“Due to the unfortunate events over the weekend and the seriousness of the allegations, VH1 is pulling the series ‘Ev and Ocho’ from its schedule and has no current plans of airing it.”

Honestly, I believe that Evelyn Lozada may be banned from VH1 all together. She has been nothing but trouble for the network since she has been on the Basketball Wives series. I'm sure the exec's at the network are pissed being that they had already taped an entire season of the spinoff series.

For those living under a rock, Evelyn was supposedly head-butted by her husband Chad Johnson after just over a month of being married.

I'm sure singer Mariah Carey have pissed her entire fan base off by announcing that her new album will not hit stores until next year. You may recall that Mariah released her new single 'Triumphant' a few weeks ago with various remixes following it. I honestly hope that the pushback will allow Mariah to produce more quality material versus music similar to the track that she threw out.

According to BillBoard:

Previewing the multiple versions of the single — co-written and co-produced by Carey, Jermaine Dupri and Bryan-Michael Cox — reveals the diversity of musical genres expected on her untitled 14th album, tentatively due in March 2013. According to Carey manager Randy Jackson, releasing the three different versions of “Triumphant” speaks to her ability to cater to multiple audiences and radio formats.

This could be a smart move for Mariah being that American Idol will be live during that time period. It is more than safe to assume that she will do various performances on the show since she is a new judge. Why did Mariah's label release a single more than six months from the album release date?

Singer Frank Ocean has expressed his frustration with pulling out of touring with ColdPlay. The singer was booked to to tour with the group ahead of the release of his debut album 'Channel Orange'. In a statement released he says:

"Let me start by saying I feel like an asshole right now," Ocean said in a statement relayed by Way Out West organizers, "but a tough decision had to be made in regard to my schedule over the next months."

Get it together Francis! You are a newcomer which means it is too early to be messing up. Frank goes on to say that he will be back if the organizers of the concert will have him.

No reason was released for why he cancelled other than scheduling conflicts.

I laughed. How exactly does the 'Saving Our Daughter' non-profit organization expect us to take them seriously when they are featuring reality stars that do not know their own self worth. Love & Hip-Hop Atlanta's Mimi Faust and K.Michelle were tapped to appear in the anti-domestic violence campaigns which also help women to learn their self worth.

Singer Sammie has returned with a brand new single titled 'Insomnia'. I'm so glad that Sammie is finally putting out another EP. I became a fan of the young R&B singer after the release of his first mix tape about two years ago.

Is there a spot in the industry for Sammie with there being so many other male artist out?

Here is a little news that we can all rejoice to. Singer Janelle Monae has revealed via Vanity Fair that she is indeed working on the new album. The album will serve as the follow-up to her previous album The ArchAndroid and will be titled 'Electric Lady'.

I was a huge fan of Janelle's previous album however I really wish that she would ditch the tux for a more appealing outfit.

Are you anticipating Janelle's new album?

Singer Elle Varner released her debut album 'Perfectly Imperfect' last week to a very welcoming response. The album was led by singles 'Only Wanna Give It To You' and 'Refill' which both did moderately well. Sales predictions indicate that the album will sell between 25k-30k during its first week in stores.

While the number may not seem high, I believe that it is a good number for a female artist doing straight R&B with a debut album.

Singer Trey Songz always manages to pull me back in when I have grown tired of him. The radio stations in Atlanta have been blasting Trey's latest single 'Dive In' a lot. At first listen I thought that singer R.Kelly was singing on the track before I realized that it was his replica.

I really hope that Trey's newest album isn't as one dimensional as his last few. Trey makes great slow jams however they sound very repetitive.

I chose this song because it explains exactly how I am feeling which is sexual.

Singer Brandy seems to have finally gained a little confidence when it comes to performing. The singer graced the stage over the weekend at the MDA Show of Strength special. Brandy looked fab in all black with a curly lacefront.

I'm tired of the little shoulder dance that she has been serving in her recent performances of 'Put It Down'. For some reason the dance became really annoying rather quickly.

Television's highest rated cable series returns for another episode of ratchetness tonight. Benzino and Joseline decided that they wanted to have a sit down about castmate Stevie J.

Singer John Legend is ready to hit the road after taking some time off from the industry to judge ABC's singing competition Celebrity Duets. The 'Ordinary People' singer took to his YouTube page to announce that he will be touring 23 US cities this Fall in support of his new album 'Love In The Future'.

I am honestly excited for the new John Legend album. From the material that I have heard recently, it sounds like John is back on track to bring us the music we fell in love with on his debut album.

I guess it is safe to assume that it is a wrap for newlyweds Chad Johnson and Evelyn Lozada. The two were all the talk last night after Chad was arrested for allegedly head-butting Evelyn in the car. According to the police report posted on TMZ, Evelyn found a receipt in the trunk of the car from Wal-Greens for a box of condoms. Ch. We knew that Chad was cheating on Evelyn when she caught him having lunch with that chick during Basketball Thugs Wives.

Television mogul Oprah Winfrey says that she was shocked with the Rihanna that she met during the taping of her Next Chapter series for the OWN series. Oprah flew to Rihanna's hometown of Barbados for the interview that she describes as 'emotional'.

I'm so glad that Oprah finally got her hand on this interview. I honestly hope that Rihanna doesn't indulge too much on the Chris Brown situation however I would like to know where she is mentally with the situation.

Rapper Azealia Banks kept things hood on the new track 'Succubi' which she released via Twitter. I actually like this Azealia versus the pop chick that she portrays in some of her other tracks.

In all honesty, will Azealia's album sale in the few weeks when it is released? It seems as if she has resorted to seeking fame via Twitter beefs rather than kicking her promo drive into full gear.

Azealia also released another teaser for her 'Van Vogue' track.
 

Reality star K.Michelle sat down with MTV RapFix to discuss the hit VH1 show Love & Hip-Hop Atlanta. When asked about the reunion show, Michelle stated that it was very intense and if anything she would take back the Karlie incident from the season.

Why do these chicks get on reality shows making fools of themselves and then claim that they would take certain incidents back? Girl.

Young Jeezy is most certainly on his grown man mode. Jeezy is showing that he is more than just a rapper with his now job as Vice President of A&R at Atlantic Records. This is definitely a great look for Jeezy. He tweeted:

"From the streets to the Boardroom. SVP of A&R at Atlantic Records I am. Let's Get It! Corporate Thugging to the max!"

I find him so attractive. It's nice to know that he has some brains and education in that head of his and not just smoking and rapping. This makes me look at him in a totally different light. I am proud of him. Jeezy also has his own record label Corporate Thugs Entertainment with his artist Freddie Gibbs, Slick Pulla and USDA.

Jeezy will find new artist and develop them while working with artist already on the label also.

Eleven years later and singer Aaliyah remains relevant. Aaliyah's label is gearing up to release more music for her fans who have been missing her beautiful voice and musical style. There have been a lot of rumors about this album on who's producing it and etc. Drake recently came out and said that he and 40 are going to be the head guys over the album.

Someone took to Aaliyah's facebook page saying that the record label and family will NOT be supporting this album. Aaliyah's cousin Jomo Hankerson along with his father Barry Hankerson stated they will be forseeing the album. Jomo went on to say that Drake and 40 will have a huge participation with the album but will not have TOTAL command of the album.

The Blackground label will promote and support this album as stated by Jomo. Jomo stated Missy Elliot and Timbaland WILL be apart of this album. The next single could very well be a Missy song that went unheard which they are getting in the studio to refresh for the album. Jomo and Barry Hankerson are said to executive produce the album with 16 unreleased songs set to hit shelves later this year with co-production from Drake and 40.

They are on contemporary artist to help and give contributions on the album. When asked why they were doing this Aaliyah album Jomo simply stated 'it's time'.

 Jomo Hankerson stated:

'We really felt like it was time', explained Hankerson. 'There's a real new generation that doesn't know her necessarily, and we wanted to continue her musical legacy with this new generation. That's one of the reasons why we wanted to do very contemporary music. We didn't want to make it a nostalgic project; we already did that with the I Care 4 U album.'

Are you here for a new Aaliyah album or should they just leave it alone? I am certainly look forward to it. I stanned for Aaliyah before I knew what a Rihanna was. The girl was just so smooth and a beautiful person inside and out. I just hope they do the album justice and don't mess this up.

I absolutely love me some Nia Long. Nia can do no wrong when it comes to acting which is why I really appreciate her work and miss her on the big screen. Author Zane has received the green light to make her book 'Addiction' into a movie via LionGates films. They are reportedly looking at Nia Long for the lead role which will be directed by Billy Woodruff.

Nothing has been confirmed yet. Another actress being looked at for the role is Tasha Smith. I like Tasha Smith but this is not the role for her. I don't really feel as if Tasha Smith could pull this role off as much as Nia Long could. Nia Long knows how to give off sexiness without trying so hard.

Comedian Kevin Hart is doing BIG things and I'm not mad at him. Kevin joins celebrity me 'it' couple Kim Kardashian and Kanye West for a nice VMA promo video.  It was said that Kevin Hart was asked to host the BET awards again but declined so he could be fresh for the VMA awards.

Kevin Hart is quickly becoming the go to guy for hosting these award shows. In the video Kevin is gearing up to become apart of the hottest new couple KEVYEKIM, YEKEVKIM, YEKIMKEV OR KKK.

The 2012 VMA awards will air on September 6th.

Mimi and Stevie J were caught having a night out on the town in Los Angeles. Stevie J was recently in New York with Joseline holding hands but that didn't stop Mimi from getting her Stevie J time. The two were caught by TMZ at The Studio nightclub.

When the paparazzi asked Stevie J who would win in a fight Basketball Wives or Rap Wives fight, Stevie J responded with 'Mimi and Joseline'. Mimi punched Stevie J in the chest after the comment and proceeded to grab his cigarette and walk off.

I have no words left for Mimi. Oh wait .... STUPID!

Atlanta Falcons Star Ray Edwards stripped down for The Sneakers Project against testicular cancer. This campaign helps spread awareness about testicular cancer testing, treatment and prevention. The Sneakers project collects donations of testicular cancer and gives them to patients with the disease. The particular disease is said to kill more men under 30 than women with breast cancer.

If detected early testicular cancer is the most curable form of cancer.  You can donate to the project here and/or purchase a book of portraits connected to this project.

Rihanna joins the UK's Living HD network to bring the biggest fashion reality show to TV. In Styled To Rock, Rihanna will be looking for the biggest and best fashion designer to design for her. As a star and executive producer of the show, Rihanna looks for undiscovered designers that can change the fashion world for the next generation.

Rihanna calls on some of her known professionals to help out with the process which includes her stylist Lysa Cooper, Girls Aloud's Necola Roberts and designer Henry Holland. Katy Perry, Cheryl Cole, Pixie Lott, Rizzle Kicks, Katy B, Scissor Sisters and Tinchy Styrder are amongst the celebrities that will serve as guest judges on the show.

Styled To Rock premieres August 14th.

Actress/Singer Tatyana Ali joined Bresha Webb and Jameel Saleem to make fun of the black reality shows that are on television today. Bresha and Jameel thought it would be funny to jump on YouTube and imitate what we see on reality shows.

It's quite hilarious may I add to see them try to be hood and ratchet for the show which is titled 'This Is My Show'.

Ninja Turtle  Ne-Yo joined The Breakfast Club to talk about R&B singers, Beyonce and more. Ne-Yo wanted the world to know something we already know which is R&B music is in a state of non existence. He states that Trey Songz is one of the reasons by labeling his music too racy. Neyo defended himself against allegations that he is abandoning R&B music and doing pop by saying that it will never happen because his pop music will always have soul.

Neyo also suggests that Beyonce indeed had a little to do with the melodies of the song 'Irreplaceable'. I'm sure Beyonce had a good talk with him about his statements. I really don't understand why Neyo is even discussing the Beyonce songwriting matter being that it is so old. We have all moved on as in trying to find out who wrote the song, who it was for and so on.

Neyo also praised singer Frank Ocean saying he has passion and authenticity.

Our favorite sisters are back! The Braxtons are back to give us a sneak peek into what is in store for Season 3 of their hit WEtv reality show. Braxton Family Values returns August 16 however it is NOT Season 3. The six week special will air as a conclusion to season two of the show. Tamar's new spinoff show, Tamar &Vince , will premiere Sept 20th.  The new season of Braxton Family Values will premiere this November.

We get to see Tamar going forward with the baby making process in the conclusion of the season. We also get to see how Towanda is still putting up with Andrea while making her dreams come true. Trina is pressing ahead with the solo music career and making videos while Traci is pressing ahead with her ventures of the salon and music career. Toni Braxton is searching for new background singers to tour with. As for Mama E she is still laying down the law.

It's no secret that Beyonce is hard at work on her next album. A while ago we posted that Bey was going in the studio with producer Hit Boy (Jay Z, Rihanna etc) to make new music. Songwriter Diane Warren took to Twitter to reveal that the two are back in the studio working together.

I absolutely love that Beyonce is working with Diane because she is a wonderful songwriter. If you want a great ballad or empowerment song you go to Diane. I really think that Ms. Warren is a songwriter who can bring out the best in Beyonce's voice as far as emotions and singing a REAL song. I look forward to hearing what the two come up with in the future.

The video for 'I Was Here' is being shot for Humanitarian Day with the proceeds being donated to the organizations campaign.

Singer Ciara dropped her single 'Sweat' last month and disappeared like a ghost without any promotion, performance or video. The single was reportedly suppose to hit iTunes last month, however it did not.

Music Mogul LA Reid appeared on Andy Cohen's Watch What Happens Live and gave a few detailes about Ciara's new project. Reid states “She’s about to shoot two videos and we’re about to drop new Ciara music within the month. We’ve got a brand new album likely for Thanksgiving. That’s the plan”. OK Mr. Reid we will take your word for it. But I would rather wait until it happens Ciara's people are GOOD for saying something is going to take place and it doesn't.

It seems that poor Ciara just can't catch a break with this promotion and record label madness. I've concluded that maybe people are simply NOT checking for Ciara musically anymore. 'Sweat' really wasn't a bad single but it didn't do good. The movie she just put out with Adam Sandler flopped also.
