• SOCA Shuts Down First Internet Music Pirating Site; Owner Arrested

It appears that government agencies on both sides of the pond are not kidding with illegal music downloads anymore. The Serious Organized Crime Agency (SOCA) shut down the illegal music download site known as RnBXclusive.com on Tuesday morning. I typically visit the site weekly to listen to new material from artist and have only recently downloaded for the first time via Kalenna's mixtape.

I was in for a rude awakening when I went to the site and was threatened that my IP address had been logged and that anyone that downloaded from the site could be arrested. Really? I guess about 50,000+ people will be facing jail time in the next few months. The page also stated that the owner was arrested yesterday morning and faces felony counts.

SOCA is the UK's version of SOPA (Stop Online Piracy Act) which we have in the US.
