• Singer Trey Songz has released a promo real for the video for his current single 'Heart Attack'. As I said before, the video stars 'Motivation' singer Kelly Rowland. Don't they look like a happy couple? The video looks like it was shot in someones apartment complex here in Atlanta.

    So could the rumors be true? I doubt it.



  • VH1s Love & Hip Hop star Emily Bustamante tweeted over the weekend that there will be another season of the hit reality series, however she will not be a part of the cast. The tweet comes just days after speculation that the entire cast had quit the show because of how they were portrayed during the series. However, Emily left us guessing that maybe she has landed a spinoff series with her and beau rapper Fab following the tweet with 'But..... you won't miss me for long.. hmmm :) #vh1'.

    VH1 has been receiving a lot of heat these past few weeks because of the way that they portray females on their reality shows. Would you be interested in a Fab and Emily show?




  • It appears that VH1 Basketball Wives star Jennifer Williams is about to get sued by the producers of the hit reality show. Jennifer filed a lawsuit against Nia Crooks after being slapped in the face during a taping a few weeks ago and now the producers are looking to sue her for so-called 'slander'.

    According to our sources, producers feel Williams' show-bashing is in violation of her contract -- which forbids cast members from doing any media appearances or press without approval, or speaking negatively about the show. We're told they feel she is "ruining the brand" they worked so hard to build.

    In all honesty, the brand was ruined when you allowed a 40-year old woman to jump across a table and throw bottles of wine in a public restaurant. And aren't Tami and Shaunie going around talking of how unhappy they are with the show and head producers themselves? 


  • Say it isn't so! Reality star Khloe Kardashian-Odom has decided to pull the plug on her and NBA hubby Lamar Odom's E! reality show after this season. According to TMZ, Lamar wants to focus on his NBA career that has been struggling lately.

    In all honesty, I think that this is the best decision that the couple could have probably made. They have had cameras in their face since the very first day they got together. I would love to see Khloe settle down and become a mommy to Lamar's child. [Source]

    The real question is will Khloe remain on the family's original series?


  • I am so glad that singer Usher decided to treat his urban audience to a new single aside from that dance crap that he threw out last week. The singer's new urban single 'Let Me See' has surfaced ahead of the album release and features rapper Rick Ross. The song is cute however I was expecting a little something more.

    Usher's new album 'Looking For Myself' will hit stores June 15th!
     

  • I'm sure that the hit UK X-Factor will take quite a hit in ratings after singer Kelly Rowland has confirmed that she will not be returning as a judge after just one year on the panel.

    In a statement released, Kelly says:

    ‘I love the UK and being part of the show last year. Mentoring the girls was such an incredible experience I will never forget.  I would like to thank Simon for the great opportunity and asking me to be a judge last season.’


    I strongly believe that this is a wise decision for Kelly if she would like to achieve a successful album rather than a single this go around. It is no secret that the demands of the show last year placed a strain on the promotion of her last album 'Here I Am'. 


  • The video is finally here. After weeks of releasing snippets, singer Rihanna has finally released the video for her current single 'Where Have You Been'. The video is by far one of the Barbados native best videos to date. Rihanna served dance routines which she never does in addition to some very nice sets.

    I couldn't help but laugh at Ri Ri's label for jumping on Twitter to tell everyone to watch the video so that they can break a record for most views in under 24-hours.

     


  • MTV is looking to capitalize and recycle some of their stars in an effort to continue with their high ratings streak. The network has released a snippet of the Snooki and JWoww of Jersey Shore reality series. I wonder how interesting Nicole (Snooki) will be now that she can't drink since she is pregnant?

  • Let the Rihanna promo overload begin. The singer is certainly going to be covered in the blogs today when her official video for 'Where Have You Been' is released. In addition to her music promo, singer Rihanna was spotted at the Battleship Missouri Harbor in Pearl Harbor, Hawaii promoting her new film 'Battleship' over the weekend.

    The movie, which hits the US in May, has already grossed well over $100 million overseas. I wonder if this chick can really act?

  • One of Letoya Luckett's biggest fansite LetoyaNews.com was shut the F*CK down today. The creator of the website decided that Letoya just does not show enough love to her fans. The site's shutdown was brought on with a long open letter to Letoya Luckett stating they just give up. The webmaster says that he/she is tired of waiting forever and a damn day for Letoya to decide she wants to drop new music. 

    Some NOT ALL of her fans feel that Letoya does not have that same drive and hunger to be successful in music as she currently does for acting and etc. They feel that she does not thank the site for all they do for her. They also feel that she does not show enough love to her fans. 

    Do you guys feel that Letoya can be successful in music without her biggest support system behind her?  Or do you guys feel that Letoya's days are numbered?  I personally LOVE Letoya but there are moments in time where I find myself thinking damn when is this bish gone drop something. But I ain't the one to judge so... Anyhoo here's a snippet of what they have to say...

    You might not realize this but my position in the entertainment business allowed me to lobby for you and allow you to get gigs without you even knowing it was thanks to me. I got you slots on TV for performances and interviews, magazine spreads and more. I am not going to mention which ones exactly but a lot of those, you would NEVER had got without ME.

    Most artists would kill to have a fanbase like yours. I don’t understand this reluctance to communicate with your fans. I appreciate you releasing a few web episodes here and there but seeing that in 3 years recording you still haven’t found a hit song is worrisome. Ask Rihanna how long it takes her to record her albums and get these catchy hooks you’re looking for.

    There is only 24 hours in a day and I would rather you focus on getting that album out. You’re not getting any younger and acting you can always do when you’re older, not music. At least not at the level we want you to be at. However, IT IS YOUR LIFE and if acting is what you want to go for now IT IS YOUR RIGHT to do so. It is so obvious that you have lost your hunger for success in music. But since I am a fan of you by way of music if you can’t provide that there is no reason I should continue supporting you.

  • Newcomer Purple Ferdinand has released the official video for her song debut track 'Beautiful Anomaly'. The 23-year old British singer serves us a Stacy Barthe vibe with some very nice Adele like vocals. I really enjoyed both the visuals and the audio for the song from the 90s inspired chick.

    Purple is currently unsigned, however I think it is safe to say that it won't be much longer before we see her on our televisions after gaining support from MTV UK and more.

  • Singer/Songwriter Miguel has returned with his third and final installment of the 'Art Dealer Chic' mix tape series. Miguel really serves me a refreshed version of pop icon Prince. I really hope we can expect a nice Summer single from Miguel soon.

  • Dear Tami, how many times are you going to wear that dress on camera? The men of VH1s Basketball Wives are at it again with their drama and to think that they had the nerves to want to boycott the editors of the show. Tami is really dumb to want to sacrifice her brand by hanging around Evelyn and her foolish actions.

    Nonetheless, why are they giving Ev's assistant Nia this much camera time? I applaud Royce for not wanting to go on the trip with the ladies because she obviously knows what is going to go down in Tahiti with those animals.

    Ugh. I am starting to hate this show.

  • Many people weren't too happy when People Magazine named Beyonce the most Beautiful Woman in the World earlier this week. Ehhh, suck it up. The singer also did a spread to accommodate her newest accomplishment. Beyonce is definitely looking nice in the issue which is about to hit newsstands.

    Why are you guys bashing this chick when she obviously didn't stick a gun to the editors head to force them for the recognition?








  • I will admit that I was a little taken back when I saw that Mary Mary would be pole dancing on this week's episode of their WEtv reality TV show. What are two highly respectable ladies in the gospel industry doing sliding up and down a pole?

    So like others, I traveled over to WEtv.com to read the comments and backlash that I knew the ladies would receive from the airing of the episode. I was extremely disappointed in the so-called Christians that left such nasty and hateful comments towards the ladies below the videos. Because a few Christian women decided to pole dance with their sisters as a form of exercise you guys are going to criticize them? If I am not mistaking the Bible says in John 7:24 'Do not judge by appearances, but judge with right judgement'. So yes the ladies may have been doing something that the mainstream has turned around and twisted, but you guys know where there hearts are. Do you realize how many young individuals that Mary Mary have introduced to Christ or saved from committing suicide?

    Pole dancing did not originate in Magic City, it began in the circus as a form of performing art and has quickly become a very popular form of fitness. So my question to those that criticized the ladies is where exactly are your hearts? Is your mind so diseased that you can't help but to think about sex when you see a pole? Christians really bother me. And the nerve of some of y'all to even use that time to judge their fashion. If you want Christian ladies to wear turtle necks all the time then maybe you should convert to being a Muslim.

    If anything, the ladies are showing the world and those afraid of Christ that it isn't as bad as you think. You don't have to sit around being sad and unhappy because you decided to give your life to Christ. My suggestion to some of you is that you chill or change the channel.

    Keep it cute or keep it mute.



  • Two of my faves were in attendance last night at the 6th Annual DKMS Linked Against Blood Cancer event. Solange looked FAB in her Stephanie Rolland gown however she looks a little tired or sleepy. Elle Varner stayed true to her style rocking a very cute purple ensemble. I REALLY hope that Solange and Elle V exchanged numbers and could possibly collaB in the future.

    Also in attendance were couple Ashanti and Nelly who shockingly posed together for a picture.







  • I really hope that these ladies can put their differences aside and give their friendship one last try. Real Housewives of Atlanta star Kim Zolciak stopped by the Wendy Williams Show yesterday to discuss her new spinoff Don't Be Tardy for the Wedding. In the midst of the interview, Wendy got straight to the tea and asked Kim what would it take for her to reconcile with NeNe.

    I honestly believe that both ladies are happy for each other but neither wants to be the first to reach out and try to settle the differences. When the two were BFFs on the show, it made for good entertainment. I agree with Kim mentioning that Nene doesn't know how to effectively sit down and have a talk without yelling.

  • Damn. How many snippets is singer Rihanna going to release of her latest video 'Where Have You Been' before we lose interest and move on to Rita Ora? The singer has released the third and final teaser for the video which will be the latest single from her 'Talk That Talk' album. Ri Ri's team is smart for giving this song a Summer release because the clubs will definitely eat it up.

    This video is shaping up to look like it will be a career defining one for the singer. From the intense dancing to very creative sets, Rihanna might have another hit on her hands.

  • UK X-Factor contestant Misha B has finally provided us with fresh music since appearing last year on the hit singing competition. Misha was always my fave on the show due to her unique vocals and style. Something about Misha serves me an Estelle tease but with a fresher turn.

  • My fave singer Kirby Lauryen graced the stage at Memphis University to open the show for singer Miguel. Kirby performed my favorite track 'That Should Be Me' in addition to covering rapper Lil Wayne's 'How To Love'. Kirby did an outstanding job!

  • I have been hearing this remix on the radio for the past month and have definitely fell in love with every ounce of it. Rapper Fat Joe has tagged a crap load of people like usual to be featured on the remix for his single 'Another Round'. Singers Chris Brown and Mary J. Blige really made this track and should consider doing a 'singing only' version of the track.

    When I tell you guys that Chris Brown is on EVERY song being played on the urban stations. I am really expecting his album 'Fortune' to do very well.
     

  • B.O.B. and Nicki Minaj are out of their f*cking minds literally. B.O.B. releases a very gracious dose of real hard life spitting with Out Of My Mind. B.O.B and Nicki go at each other like they are in a boxing ring in this song. The beat is crazy the rhymes are out of this world. B.O.B. could easily be one of my favorite rappers.

    I love his cross over appeal but I think this song just engraved in everyone's head that he could get down with the best of them.  The Atlanta rapper sophomore album Strange Clouds Is expected to be released May 1.

  • Danity Kane's very own Aubrey O'day is back! Aubrey released her newest song entitled Wrecking Ball. The sexy siren is now done filming her stint on Celebrity Apprentice (which she is giving me PURE LIFE on that show FYI) and now is getting back to the music. She has revealed that her new album will be dropping later this year.

    The song Wrecking Ball was penned by American Idol alum Pia Toscano. Wrecking Ball is a very different direction from her last single Automatic. This shows Ms. Aubrey going in a more pop rock direction.

    Needless to say she sounds AMAZING on it. Will you be buying Aubrey's album later this year?

  • Singer Brandy's new single 'Put It Down' has surfaced. The song, which features singer Chris Brown, is definitely aimed for a Summer anthem. Ehh, I would have preferred if Brandy released something stronger and that showcased her vocals a bit more.

  • While everyone else continues to fall out over how much they love Usher's new single, I for one will say that I don't. The radio has played the singers previous dance tracks so much that I am not interested in another pop record from him. 'Scream' debuted a few moment ago and is nothing short of a David Guetta track.

    I guess I will wait for Usher's new urban single 'Let Me See' which features Rick Ross to debut.

     

  • Singer Brandy was the big talk on social networking sites last night's when her VH1 Behind the Music special aired. The singer touched on a lot of hot topics including her fake marriage, fatal car accident, and her new music executive boo.

    It was good to finally see Brandy open up and just be honest with everyone. I am highly anticipating her new single which features Chris Brown.
