Poor Ne-Yo. It is definitely tough for urban singers these days when it comes to selling records. While the likes of Taylor Swift and even 2 Chainz are pulling more than 100k their first weeks, singers like Ne-Yo are struggling to pull even 60k. The singer released his new album R.E.D. this week and is expected to sell between 50-60k his first week.
What will it take for the R&B community to really make a turn around? Having a hit single doesn't sell records anymore which has be proven by the likes of Brandy and more.
