Singer Kelly Rowland has caught the hint that urban music is where she belongs which will explain her lead single 'ICE' from her new album. The song, which features rapper Lil Wayne, is definitely going to be the summer banger that 'Motivation' was last year.

The track was written by hit maker Sean Garrett.

I really think that this album will be the career defining one that Kelly has been seeking. 'Here I Am' served as Kelly's reintroduction to the industry and the success of 'Motivation' has really expanded her fan base.

Welp! Looks like we won't be getting that Lauryn Hill album anytime soon. Today Lauryn Hill pled guilty to tax evasion and is facing up to 3 years of prison time. Lauryn stated to the judge that she intentionally did not file taxes from 2005-2007 where she made an estimated 1.8 Million dollars. Along with the 3 years Lauryn is facing she will also have to cough up a $75,000 fine.

Lauryn has since made bail for $150,000 and will be sentenced in November. When the judge asked her did she intentionally not file taxes Lauryn was honest and answered, Yes.

Lauryn defended these allegations earlier with a letter stating she went underground keeping herself and her family free from danger. Whatever the hell that means. I feel really sorry for her but most of all my concern are for her children. Who is going to watch them and take care of them while she's gone? I know the dad is around but still there is nothing like a mother.

I just hope she keeps her head up and do what she has to do for her and her family. Maybe this is what she really wants in a strange way. To shut herself away from society and really clear her mind. It really seems as if she's been chasing after a sense of piece of mind however I'm pretty sure not in this way at all. All I have to say is these celebs need to pay more attention to their money. From people constantly stealing from them to their accountants not keeping up with their taxes and etc. In addition to some of them going broke and bankrupt they ALL better open their eyes. Because obviously SH*TS GETTING REAL!

Just when I thought Miguel couldn't possibly get any better, he does! Miguel takes his latest hit 'Adorn' and extends it another minute. When I first heard Adorn I instantly fell in love with it and now he wants to hit falsettos and thangs. *pulls panties off*

I think this guy is INCREDIBLY TALENTED I just want him to be more humble by possibly thinking about things before he says them in interviews. Sometimes ,even though he means no harm, it could come off as another way. I really want him to win but first he has to HUMBLE HIMSELF!

Alicia Keys is definitely showing that it's a 'New Day' with her new single. Alicia offers us the first serving off her fifth studio album due later this year. New Day is a total 360 from the past music Alicia has done. I would actually have to say that I like it. It makes me feel as if Alicia is in a new place now and much happier. It also shows that she is experimenting with new sounds and just having fun this time around and I'm ok with that.

I just can't with the negative energy that is around singer K. Michelle. Continuing to dwell on negative energy, K felt the need to put someone else on blast in the form of her former label Jive. I wonder how they feel sitting there watching her blast them on television?

Apparently singer Mary J. Blige wasn't amused with the Burger King 'Crispy Chicken' commercial. The R&B legend stopped by NYC's Hot 97 where she discussed the commercial and revealed some very interesting details. Apparently when Mary asked 'What's in the new chicken wraps' in the commercial she was literally asking the director of the commercial in what she thought was off camera.

Mary also said how hurt she was with the whole situation.

If anything I think that the commercial gave Mary a lot of exposure. It's old and she shouldn't discuss it anymore.

Listen when I watched this video it was also my first time even hearing the song. When I hear Whitney's voice I almost started crying something hit me. Just the thought of not being able to hear that voice anymore really makes me emotional. But Jordan Sparks is carrying on with the official video to their single "Celebrate" for the Sparkle soundtrack. Jordan is joined by the cast members of the movie to celebrate the life of Whitney and just LIFE in general. The fact that we lost Whitney only to look at Jordan and know that was supposed to be Aaliyah. Aaliyah orgionally signed on to play Jordan's part but died in a plane crash in 2001. Chile I cant... Grand Hustle Prince B.O.B delivers his latest video for "Both Of Us" featuring America's Sweet Heart Taylor Swift. The video was shot in Nashville by director Jake Nava. Both Of Us is the latest single from B.O.B's album Strange Clouds.

Kelly Rowland is becoming one of those sistas who KEEPS herself a job! Kelly has announced that she has signed on to do a new Australian Dance Show entitled "Everybody Dance Now" courtesy of Australian Television Network Ten.

After shutting down the US and the UK Kelly is getting the hell out of dodge and motivating the new dancers on the show as the new dance master. Kelly will lead the new contestants in the competion. Also signed on are Jason Derulo and fashion model Sarah Murdoch.

Ten's Chief Programming Manager David Mott says " We are thrilled about "Everybody Dance Now" and our big return to television. Mott goes on to say " Dynamic, Creative and Inspiring, Sarah, Jason and Kelly are the perfect fit for this fantastic new format only good things lie ahead."

Kelly is starting to become a huge success with these judging shows. In case you been under a rock she was a judge on UK's X Factor last year and she also judged 2009"s The Fashion Show. I am happy for Kelly I love that she is keeping a paycheck in her pocket but I don't want her to get so busy that she is abandoning her music side.

Which I don't think she is she is already slated to be dropping a new single any day now and putting the finishing touches on her fourth studio album. She will also begin shooting her untitled BET comedy sitcom pilot this fall.

OK! I know I'm a little late blogging about this joint but I wanted to. LaTocha formely of XScape has gone single and trying her hand at R&B music. LaTocha has a mixtape due later this summer entitled " Truth 'N The Booth". This single is called "Complicated" and features MMG's very own Wale. I really like this song it has a old school vibe but still sounds a little modern. At first I was hesitant to listen cause I thought she over sings stuff a little but it was quite nice. Coldplay releases the acoustic version of their Rihanna assisted single "Princess Of China". I happen to like this song a lot not just because it has Rihanna on it either. One of my friends actually had me sit down and listen to Coldplay's music past and present and I have to say their pretty dope. Love their harmonies and I love the voice of the lead singer they make great music.

In this "acoustic" version you can hear the lyrics better and clearer over a guitar instrumental. I love the harmonizing and riffs done by Rihanna's voice. I have grown to love Rihanna's acoustic songs they really help her show her talents and prove that she actually can sing.  Take a listen below

Everyone knows that Tamar "Do Wop Pop Pop" Braxton is not the fighting type so this news really isn't a shocker. A few days ago K Michelle said something along the lines of Tamar needs to return to Hammer-stein's playhouse or something like that. I don't know I don't really pay to much attention to K Michelle.  She went on to call Tamar a muppet baby and other things.

Well Tamar didn't take those jokes lightly and decided to issue a Cease and Desist order to K Michelle. Tamar tweeted to Toya Wright that she should enjoy her vacation and let the girl live her fairy-tale. That spark a little hate in K Michelle's heart so she bust shots back on the radio calling Tamar a muppet and telling her she's from Memphis they jump gates.

I will have to say this sh*t IS hilarious. Tamar seated K Michelle before she could even start. Tamar is allegedly also asking for an public apology and a reputation manager to clear her name. Now here's my thing I will have to say along with K Michelle getting seated by Tamar I'm going to have to seat Tamar as well. Because it was not this serious I understand Tamar doesn't want to be talked about hell nobody does but come on now.

What would I do if I had four sisters? Hmmmmmm while I absolutely LOVE The Braxtons everybody knows Tracy can get a little hood and ratchet at time. Hell I wouldn't put anything past Towanda and Trina I would think they could take it there if need be also. I would of just stuck my sisters on K Michelle and have one of them get her together since she wanna talk about fighting. I wouldn't of even got all the legal situations involved. I promise you if you get Tracy on K Michelle, she ain't gone do another interview about Tamar. That's just my opinion but then again I'm a little ratchet myself so...

Trey Songz is gearing up to release his fifth studio album Chapter IV. Trey recently released the cover-art and tracklisting for his new studio album. I would say that I am excited about this new album but I have learned Trey's album are really hit or miss. Its like sometimes he has a good album and then sometimes it just  blah. So far I have been liking the music I have heard so hopefully he doesn't disappoint on Chapter IV. Check out the tracklisting below

Rapper T.I. is shaping up to having one of the most busiest years of his career. Aside from his guest role on VH1s Single Ladies and his own VH1 reality show, the rapper has teamed up with the STARZ cable network for season two of their scripted series 'Boss'.

If you didn't catch on by now, TIP also has a new album coming out this year.

I don't know exactly how to feel about VH1s newest series Hollywood Exes. It is hard for me to continue to support this network after they continue to disappoint me with their disrespect for the women and African American communities. The new show supposedly doesn't have that much drama however.

The ex-wives of Will Smith, Eddie Murphy, R.Kelly, Jose Conseca and Prince team up for the new series which will showcase their life post-Hollywood. Girl.

In news that will excite many of writer and director Patrik Ian Polk's fans, it has officially been announced that his new movie #TheSkinny will head to LOGO next month. Patrik is no stranger when it comes to the LOGO network being that they were the one to air his original scripted series 'Noah's Arc' which became hugely popular.

I am so excited to see this movie come to television. I saw it in theaters and cannot wait to see the Twitter commentary during its telecast. The movie is about five friends that attended college together that decided to meet up for a weekend of fun which turns into pure DRAMA.

I was definitely wondering if gospel duo Mary Mary would be returning as judges on BET's gospel singing competition Sunday Best after the huge success of their WEtv reality series. After BET started running the new promo for the show I decided to do a little digging to see if the ladies would double-up on television and continue with the show.

Gospel singers Yolanda Adams and Cece Winans will fill the vacant spots left by the ladies. Donnie McClurkin will resume his spot which he took after Bebe Winans left the show.

My question is why would BET make a singing competition about gospel? Ch.

While the public is wondering where the hell did so and so go? The Divas are ready to take charge and make a comeback. This time for good the question is are you ready?

The Beautiful Tamia is back at it and I love her and Grant's love! Tamia has premiered the video for her single Beautiful Surprise featuring her man. Beautiful Surprise the single which is also the working title for the album hits Itunes today. I swear Tamia just gets better with time musically and appearance wise. I also love how her and Grant are holding on I can see these two together forever.

But here's where the bad part comes in unfortunately our kids today are not appreciative of GREAT singers and GREAT music so sadly I predict Tamia to possibly under perform. It won't be because she's not talented it will be because today's society does not appreciate her type of music. If your not on stage with your crotch out or jumping around pumping your fist sadly your not successful these day. Which often leaves us to wonder why we can't have our Tamias, Faiths, Kellys and even Lauryns. Let's appreciate and support these artist while we have them because when they are gone they are gone!

See here's my thing Mimi is actually one of my favorites on the show. So I don't wanna see my girl get played but that Karlie Redd something ain't right about her. I feel as if she is only in it for herself. I think Karlie Redd is trying to play Mimi in the process of trying to make a come up for herself. Joseline is just whatever I'm just tired of her a$$ and Stevie J *ROLLS EYES* Hell if I was Mimi I would find a way to get a cut also. Here's another show glorifying women and this time men also being on their back. Maliah, Rosee, Sarah, Mary Jane and Branden brings you " The Real Mistresses of Atlanta.

This show is about people who have slept with and dated married entertainers in the industry whether it's athletes, singers, actors etc. I am sure that this show will bring a lot of attention, ratings and spark much controversy.

These girls are outrageous and I'm pretty sure that Branden is just as catty as the girls. Sarah has some nerve dissing Black women on this show openly. But I will keep my mouth shut and let you guys spark your own opinion of this f*ckery.

Sadly but true this IS how Atlanta is in a sense!

Things are starting to heat up between K Michelle and Memphitz. K Michelle is making her rounds doing interviews saying that her ex boyfriend Memphitz was allegedly beating her. But everyone knew that Memphitz would not take these allegations sitting down so now he has started to strike back at the R&B singer.

K Michelle's story is that she was signed by the man of her dreams to a 2 Million dollar record deal. She goes on to say that the man allegedly abused her and spent her 2 million dollar budget on cars and excessive jewelry leaving her without a dime. K Michelle caught up with radio station Power 92"s TT Torez to confirm exactly who she was speaking of , stating

"I wasn’t scared about that because you are only scared when you’re lying and you only get scared when there aren’t any facts. His family still talks to me and they know the truth. For me, it was like, I still try to do it right and not be shady out of respect for Toya and the situation. I did not even say his name. He probably is a different man now. Different women bring out different things in men. I wasn’t the one to calm him".


This confirmation striked Memphitz to finally speak out on these allegations going to his instagram to post a picture of Pinocchio with a certain caption that stated

Rihanna is proceeding ahead with her blossoming acting career. Rihanna recently made her acting debut with the big blockbuster smash movie Battleship. Reportedly Rihanna has also been rumored to have been tapped for the next Fast and The Furious Movie while also shooting a comedy in New Orleans entitled End Of The World with Kevin Hart. Now Rihanna is trying her hand at Animated films.

Rihanna has signed on to play a lead character opposite of "Big Bang Theory" star Jim Parsons in the Dreamworks Animated of Adam Rex's book The True Meaning of Smeekday.  The movie will be entitled "Happy Smeekday" and will be directed by Tim Johnson (Antz and Over The Hedge) is being targeted to be released the fourth quarter of 2014.

The synopsis of the movie is friendly aliens invade earth to try and escape their immortal enemy's. When one of their own accidentally reveals their whereabouts he has to flee with a teenage girl, taking a roadtrip across a post apocalyptic America. Along the way he learns what it means to be an actual human.

Rihanna is definitely stepping her game up on her acting. I don't see anything wrong with it although I am a HUGE Rihanna stan I have not yet seen Battleship. So I do not know how her acting skills are just yet. From what I am hearing I have gotten mixed reviews but I will wait until I see for myself. But I will say congrats RiRi. Keep doing ya thang!

D'Angelo is ready to sweep the music scene once again staging his highly anticipated return. D'Angelo recently made a surprise performance at Bonnaroo blowing the crowd away with many of his hits. Now D'Angelo is ready to make his huge return as he is scheduled to perform for the 12th annual BET awards airing LIVE at the Shrine Auditorium on July 1.

BET's President of Music and Programming Stephen Hill stated " His talents have been away from us for far too long and we're excited and honored that he's decided to make his American re-entry at this year's BET awards". Mr Hill went on to say " Usually we love to keep surprises but we want everyone tuned in to watch D'Angelo take the stage at the BET awards".

Other than the BET awards D'Angelo is slated to tear the stage down at this year's Essence Music Festival in New Orleans on July 6.

Other scheduled performers for this years BET awards are Usher, 2 Chainz, Nicki Minaj, Chris Brown GOOD Music's Pusha T and Big Sean, Maybach's Music's Wale, Meek Mill and Rick Ross along with a very special star studded Whitney Houston tribute including her very own mother Cissy Houston.

I am happy that D'Angelo got his act together and decided to make a return he was a very talented human being. The world needs good music like his now if only we can get Lauryn Hill to get in a damn studio we would all be complete. My only thing is I hope he doesn't get offended because people will be turned on because he is a good looking man. D'Angelo left the music scene a long time ago because he felt people only was interested in him because of his looks and not his actual talent. But he needs to understand that just comes with the territory of being gorgeous.

Rihanna is now in London and was recently spotted heading to the studio. People are assuming that Rihanna is ready to put out a new album this year. But I don't agree if I'm not mistaken Rihanna did state that she is NOT putting out new music until 2013. Rihanna also went on to say that she will embark on her biggest world tour to date in 2013.

I believe Rihanna is just getting a head start on finding out what sound she wants to go for on her seventh studio album. RiRi started her recording process this past weekend while rehearsing for her concert for Radio 1's Hackney Weekend.

Rihanna was stated to have tapped Calvin Harris's goodfriend Marina and the diamond's boyfriend Burns. Who is also working on the new Kelis album. Rihanna also have enlisted DJ Nicky Romero, Sean Garrett, Swedish House Mafia and Chase & Status.

I love that Rihanna is working with new people to get a different sound. I love how RiRi continuously reinvents herself whether it's her looks or her sounds. I think that is the smartest thing to do because it keeps people interested in what you are going to do next. It gets a little boring after a while when you do the same thing over and over. It becomes very predictable and dull. I often ask myself about some of these people Rihanna works with because I don't know them but she proves me wrong everytime. I know she constantly works with Sean Garrett but it might just be me but I haven't heard ANY music those two have done yet.

Maybe because Sean Garrett is constantly running his mouth about the music he does with artist only to get knocked off the album because of running his mouth. I can see why Beyonce gave his a$$ a gag order on her album.
