If BET's new original movie Being Mary Jane is a sign of what's to come, the network might be headed in the right direction of rebranding itself. Gabrielle Union stars in the new original movie as successful television anchor Mary Jane who tries the juggle life with a very hectic schedule.
The film looks very interesting and well written.
The show is produced Salim and Mara Brock-Akil ("Girlfriends", "The Game", and "Jumping the Broom").
The film also stars Tika Sumpter who stars as the lead character in OWN's The Have and the Have-Nots which scored record ratings two weeks ago.
