According to TMZ, songbird Lauryn Hill could possibly be facing time for tax fraud. The Fed are accusing Ms. Hill of not filing taxes for the last 3 years. Within these 3 years, it is said that Lauryn earned 1.8 million dollars from previous engagements.
Ms. Hill was charged this morning in New Jersey from failed tax returns for 2005, 2006 and 2007. If convicted Ms. Hill could face up to 1 year in prison for each count and also $300,000 in fines. Lauryn is scheduled for court on June 29th.
What I don't understand is what are you doing in those 3 years that you forget to file your taxes? But then again it might not be her fault most of those celebs have accountants and that are supposed to help with that. I don't know however handle your scandal.
